I don't drink a ton of coffee myself as it tends to give me heart burn. today, since I'm working an early shift, I stopped at our local wawa convenience store and picked up a 24oz cup on their Kenyan AA coffee. tastes pretty good to me!

Hoagies, soft pretzels and TastyKakes all in one place. Yum.
their hoagies suck though! leo's in Sharon Hill is still around!
I don't know what a Wawa is but when I was in high school in the 70s we had 7-11 stores popping up and there was one near the school so we'd go over for lunch sometimes for a slurpee (slush) and a hoagie which was an awful sub sandwich with processed meat and cheese wrapped in cling wrap. They'd slit the wrap and toss it in the (then newish) microwave oven and you'd get this soggy, way to hot mess with liquid process cheese dripping on your chin and hands. It was truly awful but I consumed my share of them. High school kids never were that bright.

7-11's are less prevalent around here than they used to be. we basically have wawa, a few 7-11's and now royal farms has started opening several stores in our area.

Yeah, here too. The fact that all stores including grocery stores are open 7 days a week pretty much makes convenience stores with their limited stock and generally higher prices pretty much a thing of the past. The big grocery stores are open until 11 pm every day and if you can't buy your milk, eggs and bread sometime during those hours then you've probably got other problems
Yes, I know I'm a philistine, but I like Starbucks Pike Place roast coffee beans. I just bought 20 lbs. of them for $7/lb., which will last us about 5 months. It may not matter a lot, but despite all the recent media brouhaha, I like the fact that 30 years ago Starbucks was one of the first companies in the United States to offer comprehensive health benefits to both full- and part-time employees, including coverage for domestic partners, and that it started free college tuition programs for its workers and made a point of hiring people from underserved groups, including veterans and refugees. Another way for me to feel a little self-righteous...
