Chiseled Face Legacy titanium or brass razor. Just a brilliant mild/efficient razor with excellent buffing ability for those chasing a complete BBS. Plus, it’s a rationally priced razor in today’s world of some insanely priced razors. Quality product — great company owner — heirloom quality.

From CC- is Tatara Masamune.
allow you to shave every day without problems.

(After them, soft bristles also grow and the face is not injured). It was these razors that I kept for myself as the "holy grail"

Lambda Athena is more efficient by a fair amount.

I don't want to say i'm happier to shave with either as I am really delighted with both... but as the CF is a lot more fun to shave with and is more audible and nimble.  They are similarly comfortable.

But I never have touchups with the Athena if I perform a 3 pass and it gets my jawline and chin better.

So think of one as a sports car (CF) and the other as a full size SUV (LA).  Some days you would rather drive a corvette and others you would rather ride in a suburban...

Thank you dtownvino! I have CF and like it with the Kai blade. I was debating if I needed a Lambda Athena razor. Looks like I need to make space in my den before my waitlist number comes!

I’ll do a shave off today with them.

The only complaint with the Athena is it is marine brass, so it Patinas slowly.  Other than that I don’t see a 250 dollar razor competing with it.

I have owned more than 40 titanium razors. If it’s been made, I’ve probably tested it or bought it.

The Athena shocked me.  It out shaves the BBS-1 and RS10 for me.

Day 1 test - a standard 3 pass was performed (WTG, XTG, and ATG).  The Athena was used on the right side of my face, the CF Ti on the left.  Results were similar except at my left jaw line, where I have a little more resistance when I run my hands with splash on my face.

The smoothness of the shave was remarkable with the CF Ti.  I could feel it scraping off whiskers.  The Athena was a little less smooth which is confusing as it’s a neural blade exposure.

I admittedly enjoyed the CF a little more.  It has a wider gap and you need to ride the cap.  The Athena definitely needs a steeper angle.

In the end, I will repeat on Thursday or Friday but switch sides with the razor.  It could be just how my beard grows on the left side near my jaw.

Let’s see what happens then.

*24 hour post shave update - while both provided a comfortable, mild shave there is a little more growth on the left side of my face (CF).  I will let my beard grow in to 36-48 hours before I repeat (with a flipped razor/side of face) and report.
