Mike's Natural Soap

People complain because they don't look.

Mike updates Twitter constantly with new releases.
Maggard's has stacks of Mike's Natural piled on top of each other right now ready to be shipped.

What's peoples thoughts on Mike's Coconut? My nose didn't agree with the scent itself as well as the strong scent strength.

I feel the same way. It's got a sweet gourmand like scent to it and I just don't reach for it too much. I've been thinking of mixing half an bar of coconut with half a bar of lime (which I really enjoy) and seeing how that turns out.

Twenty one pages (so far) about Mike's Natural soaps !!! Amazing !!! I don't know what's more amazing, the length of this thread or the quality / performance of the soaps themselves. Lol, had to comment. I haven't used Mike's in a while, but bought a few tins when he was still shipping out of Brooklyn, NY. MNS's were the first hard soap product I tried after using creams & croaps when I transitioned back into traditional wet shaving.

i think mike has the best coconut around although i have heard of people mixing half with half lime

The length of the thread is a testament to Mike himself. There have been no formula changes at all since Mike launched in 2012.

The tins and refill bars are presented simply and the consistency of the soap is closer to a conventional puck, harder. Many of the soaps today are full of water when delivered and often too soft. His scents are more traditional and easy to understand.

None of them have silly names or half dressed women on the labels. He doesn't prance around with a fake pipe and captains hat or go totally missing as in the case of Tiki or change packaging as many do. Although originally from New York he thankfully stayed out of that tit for tat between two upstate soap makers. Mike doesn't engage in the forums at all.

Part of what makes Mike's Natural so great is his refreshing lack of bulls....

I really like the Orange/Cedarwood/Black Pepper. I love his take on barbershop (It smells exactly like Maggards London Barbershop to me). The only one I'm not to keen on is the lemongrass/eucalyptus. It smells like cough drops to me.

It may not smell like cough drops to you though. I know there are others that really like it and probably wouldn't describe it my way. Ya never know. Either way the soap is great.
