Maggard is much stiffer than Stirling. Thicker hairs.
Whether it's backbone or scrub, I like it. If you want soft then it's not like a silvertip brush. It's soft at the tips but I felt a little hint of the hairs.
I expect it to loosen up and soften up with use. While it's not a direct cousin, I'd say it's in the same family as Envy White. A little bit less stiff and not as much black banding to the appearance.
Shave yourself.
