That was me!
I can't really see a balancing issue TBH, it's a great shaver. The price is indeed really good for a Ti razor, I wish it was polished though, and maybe a 10mm shorter handle...Just personal preference. I have been moving towards lighter razors and this Ti R41 came out at the right time for me.

I wonder if these ever flew off the shelves as some expected.

My guess is they will. People buying them as a collectible, or to flip them at a profit.

I have given up on getting one. Wrote them on Instagram with questions and received nothing. I do own the R41GS stainless steel model and enjoy it quite a bit.

They won't write back....you can only get one by walking into a store in Berlin or London.

Best would be to ask a trusted friend in either city to see if they'll oblige.

Actually, they haven’t written me back on any query that I have submitted, even if it has nothing to do with the Ti model.

Not surprising with such a large company. That's part of why I love dealing with artisans and small businesses.

IMO the ultimate R41 experience is with the Aimsport Spitfire custom topcap,
which can still be ordered from shapeways.com.  C410i Spitfire Mk. Ia (8JV58CPXG) by Aimsport
Another interesting very aggressive option is a 2011 topcap on a 2013 baseplate.
For me Titanium is both too light, and too expensive.  YMMV.  Happy shaving.

That's a cool option if you don't have the 2011, & the 2013. I've got the 2011 and recently the SS, which I assume is the 2013 plate. I like both very much.

I wish that you could get the Spitfire in something other than plastic. I went through a few of them as the threading broke. There shouldn't be a technical reason why it can't be printed in a metal.
