Would have loved having the handle center section left as it (for grip), but the top and bottom of the handle as well as the head — polished. I have never been a big fan of engraving or logos on the cap unless it is hand done exhibiting an abundance of skill. Do I still want one? Yes.

Anyone else and does anyone know someone that would do that for a bunch of us that want this razor?Agreed. Who has friends on ATG? I've exhausted my resources.

not sure why they call it an open comb on the box....it looks like a faux open comb...
the channels between the so-called teeth are closed...
Spoke to an old school mate in Blighty who said he'd be "delighted" to send one my way,
but told him to cool his jets.
I reckon the WR2 1.55 Ti would rub the R41's nose in the dust, until it cried uncle.

1st Review hot off the press:
https://www.atgshaving.com/threads/muhle...ost-496762
Standout line in the review:
"The blade feel is a bit less than the Ikon Tech (I have the latest version), probably similar to the WR1 0.80, a Rex on #5 (maybe #6), and more than the Carbon Standard."
Hmmm....I have tried the WR1 0.80 OC and the blade feel was nothing to write about.
If one is accustomed to (and likes) the blade feel on the WR1 0.94 and/or WR2 1.55 both in SB format,
I posit that one may well be underwhelmed by this storm in a Ti cup.

I read the review this moring of the British version of the R41 titanium razor. In general the member said he easily got a BBS shave but felt the razor singing along while making his passes. He thought the handle was not that grippy but because of the light weight had no problem holding it. The handle has been the problem with the stainless steel version and that is why when I had the razor I changed handles. At about $194 you can forget ever seeing this razor reach the USA. In fact if Muhle started shipping titanium R41s to us look for a price well north of $300 .The way I see it the USA has several razor makers using titanium and the results have been excellent so I am satisfied.
