Gentlemen, I need some advice and guidance. I’m about to order my first knot from Allen, but I’m not sure which batch I should go for. 

Ideally I’m looking for a very soft knot, preferably with no to little gel, good splay and flow through and not too stiff but also not floppy. I’m going for a fan or fan-hybrid shape.

Received a message from Allen, the blank for my brush handle is glued up. So getting closer to a finished brush. This will be my first from LongShaving and looking forward to it. Also many thanks to members who have taken time to provide additional guidance here, and elsewhere, on knot profiles.

Allen’s communication and expertise is wonderful all around. We need more Allen’s in this turbulent world today to keep things positive. 

2xl, Reserve VI, 28mm, 49.5mm loft. Amazing work and hair batch just received. Beautiful feel to this hair.
