This brush had a pretty scratchy fan in it, and the bottom was convex and wobbled. Allen dropped his pillow soft bulb in, and flattened the bottom. Quickly becoming a favorite for me as I have used it 3 times this week. I rarely do that

He sets the best looking knots, Im not sure if I've ever seen one from him that didn't look uniform.
I noticed this as well from all of the pics in this thread. The craftsmanship looks impeccable.
Wise1, he has spoiled me. I have a lot of handles with knots that could be stuffed with one of his.
What a difference a quality hand tied knot makes! For me, flow through [permeability] is the critical factor I seek. . I like all flavors of tip texture, but I hate lather hogs! So Allen's knots have the perfect lather release imho..... makes his stuff the best. My DG, Fanchurian, Varlet and M&F have less permeability than his knots. I never was able to try Milton's knots. Everybody has different preferences - makes the hobby fun to sample and try.
Glad I tried one - but it casts a big shadow on my other tools.
