blades ( green tuck ) are the exact same blades with the >3x more expensive Gillette
7 o'clock Super Platinum also made in India

(aka "Black Ninjas" ,possibly nicknamed like that due to their inner wrapper which resembles a ninja mask and the black colored outer blade wrap .
They are those in the black tuck ,not the russian made ones ,which have a dark ,marine blue tuck )  .

The EXACT SAME blades.

The new India-made ASP blades have nothing
in common with the older russian or czech ASP ones .
The India made ones are VERY sharp ,
a bit scratchy (or even rough!) on their first shave ,but they get a lot-lot smoother after first use and they usually last for more than
five (three pass) shaves .

They are made in the same facility where the
black ninjas are made and well...yup..they are actually the same blades.Only differences are the printing, wrapping, tucks and of course their price!

Here's a list of sharp blades :
-Bic Chrome-Platinum
-Feather Hi-Stainless
-Wilkinson Sword ( black plastic tuck ,Germany)
-Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum (
black carton tuck ,India ) /
Astra Superior Platinum ( India )
-Gillette Permasharp
-Gillette Rubie +
-Gillette Nacet
-Wizamet/Polsilver
-Gillette 7 o'clock SharpEdge (yellow tuck )
-Concord/Bluebird ( same blades,Turkey )
G great info. When did they start this plant in India? May explain why I like my astra sps so much as I love the Blacks.

The new ASP blades are being manufactured in India, since Gillette ( P&G actually ) withdrew
the manufacturing license off the S.Petersburg facility due to Russia-Ukraine war sanctions.
Maybe couple of years ago .
