For the past couple of months I have been doing methodical reviews of some 30 razor blades. The evaluation will be continued for a few weeks longer.
If you are interested, see the thread.

I have posted the results in a spreadsheet here:

https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/71ttt15wy...qo8eb&dl=0

So far, the sharpest blades in my testing have been:

BIC Chrome Platinum - Greece (5/5)
Feather- Japan (4.75/5)
7 O;Clock Super Premium (black)- India (4.75/5)

Then there is a long list of blades that rate 4.5/5.

Since the Gillette Russian blades made by PPI are no longer being produced, but are still readily available in inventory, I am saving their evaluation for the end. Some of the sharpest PPI blades based on prior experience include: Permasharp Super and Nacet. Most of the other PPI blades will fall into either the 4 or 4.5 out of 5 categories. I have not yet reviewed Rapira Platinum Lux, but based on previous experience, they will come in around 4.5/5.

Unlike canpo1907, I did not find Kai blades to be either very sharp nor very smooth. Because that result was contrary to reviews I had heard from others of the blade, I tested a 2nd blade from the same tuck. I got similar results of 3/3 on sharpness on both tests. I believe the reason that many people perceive the Kai blades to be very sharp is that they are slightly wider than most standard razor blades. Thus, the blade exposure is increased and the blades feel more aggressive. However, the edges of the blades are similar in sharpness to Astra Superior Platinum, which are barely sharp enough for me to shave.

Since 2020, Bolzano blades have been made by Lord in Egypt. I have never used Bolzano blades, but I did review several Lord blades. They varied from Lord Cool that rated 3.5/5 to Lord Silver Star and Lord Platinum Diamond Edge which rated 4.5/5. If the Bolzano blades are similar to the Silver Star blades, then they would qualify as very sharp. I have not yet reviewed Lord Super Chrome or Super Stainless blades, but will be doing so in a week or two. Based on prior experience, these two blades are minimally sharp, suitable only for those with fine beards.

Feather HI-Stainless and Bic Chrome-Platinum
( Sold as "Astor" here in Greece ) are definitely
the sharpest blades ,but unforgiving to say the least.

Gillette Nacet ( PPI ) , Gillette Perma Sharp (PPI) ,Wilkinson Sword ( Germany ) , Wizamet Super Iridium ( PPI ) ,Gillette 7' o clock Super Platinum (made in India  /" Black Ninjas" ) ,Concord / Bluebird ( Turkey ) and Zaza (Turkey ) are very sharp blades but also smooth enough  .

I tried the Astor blades made by BIC, but the ones I tried were not nearly as sharp or as smooth as the BIC Chrome Platinum. I rated the Astors as 4/5 on sharpness and 3/5 on smoothness. The BIC CP rated 5/5 on both sharpness and smoothness making them the best blades I have ever used. At least with my tough beard and sensitive skin, the Astors are "also rans", far from being winners.

I have not tried the Concord/Bluebirds and Zaza blades from Turkey, but the Derby Premiums rated 4.5/5 on both sharpness and smoothness.

Concord ( sold as Bluebird also ) blades
seem to be far sharper than Derby Premiums ,
to my personal experience.
New Zaza blades are also very-very sharp ,
but smooth also.

Violex ( the company that manufactures
Bic blades ) has in multiple occasions confirmed that
Bic Chrome - Platinums and Bic Astors are the same blades .The former are a brandname for
export only and the latter is a brand for the Balkans market ( Greece,Bulgaria,Romania, etc ) .

Violex uses the same ( ex- Hitachi ) Proterial  Gin5 stainless steel for manufacturing the blades for Bic ,which is used for the manufacturing the Feather Hi-Stainless ( and KAI ) blades .

I will try the Astor blades again, but they did not seem to be the same as BIC CP to me. Maybe I got a bad tuck.

I will see if I can find the Zaza blades. Since you are a lot closer to Turkey than I am in the USA, do you know if the producer of Zaza blades is different than the producer of Derby blade? I know very little about Zaza as they are uncommon here.

Bluebird has the same Chromium-Ceramic-Platinum-Tungsten and Polymer coating used by Derby, so I am assuming they are made by Derby.

Zaza Platinum blades have stainless Swedish steel and platinum-plated blades. Although I'm not sure, it may be made by Personna for Zaza, because their shaving characters are very similar. I can say that it is a medium sharp, smooth, comfortable, non-irritating, and generally satisfactory blade.

And yes RayClem, Zaza and Derby are totally different companies. Zaza is the oldest company in Turkish history, since 1917. Derby which is Azmussebat Company's brand is comparably new.

Yes, Bluebirds and also Parker blades are made by Derby for non-domestic markets.
