When the blades arrived, they were packaged as "Gillette Rubie Plus." The vendor assured me that they were genuine Gillette, but the packaging had recently changed. I inspected everything closely, as there had been some counterfeit versions of these blades discovered a couple of years ago, but they appear to be the real deal. FYI: Both versions of the Rubies I have include wax spots!
Please post photos as I think you POSSIBLY just got BS'd by the Russian. There was a recent rash of fake Rubie blades again being sold on Ebay. I bet this is the one:

No one else is selling any marked as such.
Well, I didn't buy the blades from the seller linked and they weren't advertised as "Gillette Rubie Plus," but "Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus." I had some of the previous blades packaged as "Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus" and both blades look identical when unwrapped. Anyway, thanks for the heads up and on to the pictures:
One thing that I found interesting was that the latest packaging I received appears to be all in Cyrillic, except "Gillette Rubie Plus" & "Blades" on the packaging, and "Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus" on the blades themselves. The previous packaging that was marked "Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus" had some English printed on it in addition to the Cyrillic. I've read that it was thought that these blades were mainly distributed within the Russian Federation, so the Cyrillic would make sense. The blades in both packaging match the images in the B&B Wiki page:
B&B Wiki Gillette Rubie Razor Blade
I've read a lot of threads from various forums on the subject of counterfeit blades and they all seem to have pretty obvious flaws like: sub-par printing, spelling errors, and blatant shoddy quality of the blades themselves.
The seller claims to purchase them directly from the factory. This is a seller on eBay whom I've patronized many times before without issue, so I don't feel I have any reason to doubt his claim that these blades just happened to be sent in different packaging.
The bottom line is that both blades with different packaging feel the same on my face.
Now, back on topic:
The blades in both packaging have 2 large dots of wax on either side of the blade. But, the dots are evenly centered over the slot in the blade, so no wax over the edges!
