I've been on my own and married for over 35 years.  We don't live with my mom, I do my own laundry, don't starch or iron my underwear.

I've had the same experience as Kevin...
"As to hot water removing the wax, I have heard this many times but never seen it to be proven true on my end."

I can deal with wax dots on blades, but would rather not.  The no dots list is a valuable resource.

BTW, Do all Wilkinson-Sword blades lack the wax dots or only some from a specific country?

I’ve only used the German ones (black plastic tuck with white cardboard label), and at least those ones do not have the dots.

I opened a new tuck of Rapira Swedish Supersteel blades last night, part of a new 100 pack recently purchased. I opened the outer paper sleeve, then the inner paper sleeve and to my surprise there were no dots! I swear the last tuck I opened from an old sample purchase had blades with dots.

Just as a warning, I opened an Astra Superior Stainless blade ( the one in the blue box, not the one in green) this morning.  It has been well over a year since I last used one and I forgot how bad the glue (wax) spots are on this blade.  It is so bad that it will probably be more than a year before I ever use one again.

It isn't only prying the blade away from the wrapper (and prying, in this case, is accurate) but the mess it makes on the inside of the head and baseplate of the razor that makes me send out ths warning.

One to add to the list of blades without glue spots is the Brazilian produced Gillette Platinum-Plus.  Besides not having the glue spots, I find them excellent blades in just about all of my DE razors.

Your list is missing my 2 favourite blades:
Voskhod
Ladas Super Stainless

I believe all blades coming out the Mostochlehmash (all Rapira variants, Sputnik, Gillette Rubie) factory don't have any glue dots.

Yup, I just got done with a Voskhod and no glue dots. Smile

I just opened a Ladas blade | have, and there were 4 huge dots holding the blade to the inner paper.

This blade was purchased about 2 years ago, so things could have changed with newer manufactured blades.

I would be very happy if they stopped using the dots on all their products.

Perhaps people could check their blades for us to confirm if the newer Ladas Et Al. have dots or not?

My experience with Rapira Swedish Supersteel is that older made blades had the dots while newer ones do not.
