Maybe we should lobby Jason at www.tryablade.com to list in the blade description whether the blade has the glue dots or not. That would make things really easy.

For those who don't know, Razorock recommends using blades with no glue dots as the machining tolerances on the razor head are rather fine.
Yes, I know I can carefully use an old blade to remove dots on a new blade, but I doubt I will want to do that often.
Does anyone know of an existing list of DE blades which do not contain glue dots?
If not, perhaps we could start one here for future reference?
Voskhod does have glue dots but I use them in my wolfman every day and no issues. James at wolfman has extremely tight tolerances in his razors so I don't think it will be an issue on the wunderbar

Hi Jason, maybe you could solicit customer feedback on the glue dots for the blades they order rather than having to open one of each of the 130 or so blades you carry. That way you could get a list put together over time without too much extra work.

That might be the way to go. I can add in another field on my blade record and it can say whether or not the blade has glue spots. I honestly don't know how much it matters to most people, but it's more information about the blade, which is nice.

Jason, there's a thread somewhere else on DFS and I can tell you, for some people it matters a lot. I disassemble and rinse/clean my razor after every shave and I haven't found the wax dots to be a significant concern but I know that not everyone feels that way.
