Unfortunately I'm from Europe, but if I would be closer I could send you without problems my La Faulx (with 2 plates) to try. No problems for me to help friends. Maybe there is some other member closer who could help..

That's very kind of you.  I'm sure I'll be able to try one at the right time.  Since AC razors are new to me, this gives me time to get familiar with the architecture.  I may start with an RR Hawk or a Yaqi Romulus in order to get familiar with the AC concept - especially the blade choices.

Galibier_Numero_Un I'm sorry to introduce La Faulx to thread about Le Maurice.. my fault, but same think.

I didn't try but heard lot about Yaqi Romulus. For me personally La Faulx is one of best razors overall, everyone can find gap for personal need and use, I prefer ++ plate. highly recommend to try it, until now didn't read about someone who don't like La Faulx at all, what is pretty rare I think

I’d love to try the La Faulx as well. I have a lot of vintage and cheaper razors and have been lucky to find some great deals on the Marketplace so haven’t ever spent more then about $100 on a razor. The $200 price is hard to digest but with all the love the La Faulx gets I’d love to try it out. I’ll probably pick one up later this year sometime - maybe they’ll have a Black Friday sale?

I recently picked up the Romulus and after 2 shaves I’ve found it way too mild. It is a very smooth razor but with regular blades it leaves way too much stubble behind. I have some Feather Supers coming to try and am hoping it makes a difference. I’ve tried different angles but perhaps there’s still an issue there with me.

I also got a good deal on a RR Hawk with both plates coming in the mail so I look forward to trying them all out. I love the Schick Injectors and vintage GEMs so would love to find a good AC razor. Instead of buying more cheaper options to test I think I’ll just save for the La Faulx head with + and ++ plates.

Hello guys, I’m quite a novice of this hobby, I normally shave every 2-3 days (3 most of the time), I prefer efficient razors as I have sensitive skin and sturd whiskers, so need less passes. I love my wr2 1.25, but also my Barbaros tr-3, if you would recommend a razor from Durdan, would you suggest an high gap Maurice (like 1.6-1.8), la faux ++ or +++, vestige +++, or the new no.7 1.1?
As I said I would like something efficient like the wolfman but changing the experience.
Thanks
