Lather Catchers

Here's my MMOC, just stropped the SS blade and I'm eager to give it a try. Not too shabby looking for a $7 razor .

Looks to be in excellent condition.

All the blade stops are there, and in great shape. And the TTO system works flawlessly, and the platings good. Now to see how it shave's.

if it feels too aggressive, I wouldn't force the issue. I'd switch to another razor your familiar with so your face doesn't get all tore up. JMHO.....

Wow, talk about a close smooth shave. I went wtg, and then xtg, with a very light touch and ended up 97% bbs. Once I get very familiar with this razor and can go atg with it I can see some truly bbs shave's in my future. Just have to stay on top of my A game with this razor otherwise it will bite. I want to try the bullet tip closed comb model now so that I can compare them.

Yup, that sounds like a typical OCMM shave! Congrats!

I am hoping to get a Lather Catcher at some point.
I've been using SE razors for about a month now, a Gem Junior and a pre Valet Auto Strop, and I get a very good shave with both these razors.

I still use DE's but less often now.
In addition to the fine shave these are very nice looking razors.

I love the steam punk look of the Valet Auto Strop. I have two or three but, sadly, I don't get my best shaves with them so don't use them too often.

I love lather catchers. I used to have a whole bunch of them at one point, but have trimmed them down to just three. They get used a lot.

I actually have the GEM Junior and Junior Bar - similar to the ones Freddy pictured in the OP. I also have an ER lather catcher that's a bit more aggressive. I used to have several Kampfe Star lather catchers, but I didn't use them as much.
