I've only recently fallen in love with SEs. No lather catcher yet, but soon. Even sooner, probably, after all these pictures got me thinking about getting one.

@Clayton, I find the Micromatic Open Comb way too aggresive for me, a real face eater.

Darn Tapatalk won't let me edit. Anyway I'm using a Open Comb DE right now so I hope the Micromatic OC will work out for me ok without drawing blood.

Clayton, as with any aggressive razor, if there is any chink to be found in your technique the OCMM will find it and use it to bite.

For success, be aware that the angle is different from DE razors and pay attention to the basics. Don't give it that opportunity to exploit anything.

Do you have blades?

No lather catchers yet, but I enjoy my 1912,1924, and OCMM. Brian is right regarding angle with SE razors. I speak from experience.

Yes I have blades. I bought a 10-pack of the Gem Stainless Steel Blades from my local Bi-Mart.

Just checked the tracking and my Micromatic OC is at my post office so it should be delivered this afternoon. I'll be shaving with it tomorrow morning.

I tried the OCMM one time. I had to stop after a few strokes into the shave because I knew it was too aggressive for me.
