IIRC I read that Jack had left Karve ? Wasn't he their public relations rep ? I forget his name, but 'Karve' is a one man operation.

He does razor stuff as a sideline. He is a machine shop taking on jobs as they come in the door.

Communication isn't his strong suit. So it is not unusual for emails to go unanswered for an extended period.

Try instagram. I've had better luck posting on there, at least when Jack was still part of the team.

Been a couple years now iirc, but Chris made it known the shop had been setup to primarily do razors.

The customer service criticism is warranted and long standing but there is enough exaggeration in is thread, usually from the same people, that things are further skewed.

They're only for bronze, but the recent comments I have seen make it seem like shipping is about 2 weeks.

It's not just this thread, it's a pretty uniform assessment on all shaving forums that their customer service is terrible, and I can attest to that personally.

Not disputing that but elsewhere its more matter of fact. Exaggeration and rehashing of old news is unique in this thread.

Ironic to claim exaggeration by others, and then you talk about a metal they don’t even make (bronze).

You're nitpicking. I'm not sure I would agree with surfboat's claims on exaggeration, though. I think it's just that it's a crapshoot as far as whether the items are finished and ready to ship when one orders. There are a couple of people whose orders were shipped quickly, but I do suspect that there are long lags between the availabilities of finished product, and it's more likely that you'll find yourself waiting than receiving it quickly. I'm curious how other shops like Timeless seem to be generally pretty quick.

Timeless has their thing together. Brian Twilly, when he had Charcoal Goods up and running was very good too. His 'Ready to Ship' page really was. Shane @ Blackland the same thing. Of course he jobs the work out, but when it is ready it is really ready, and when it is out of stock, like Timeless and CG they tell you it is OFS. Admirable way to run a biz.

Well I have to give a shout out of praise to Karve !

Back when the polished SS didn't come to fruition in a timely manner, after some months Chris @ Karve gave a $100 (CAD) coupon code to those of us who had prepaid for the polished SS.

I had already canceled the polished and applied my $ to a standard SS set which was in stock, and shipped within a week of the change.

In April of 2020 Chris offered all who had ordered the SS polished the coupon code and I decided to hold onto it to apply to the forthcoming Titanium Karve.

Well, since that didn't materialize I sent in an order for two SS baseplates on December 11. The coupon codes covered both the two baseplates and free DHL shipping.

I wondered if Chris would honor the coupons after all this time ?

Today, Dec 16 I received shipping confirmation.

Kudos to Chris @ Karve !!
