I’m going to say this about the Karve Razor. As I’ve stated before deep in this thread, I own 2 of their brass razors with multiple plates ranging in size from C-F in both SB/OC configurations. I have never, ever bad mouthed the performance of the Brass rendering. In fact, I believe they are one of the best values in artisan manufactured razors with performance that matches if not exceeds the elite razors in the industry. Until a short while ago, I even gave them the benefit of doubt and suggested in this very thread that they just needed a chance to straighten their act out and get their s**t together. Eventually, I believed that they would have come through it all fine because I believed in their product just solely based on performance/value. Needless to say, they still haven’t got their act together as a manufacturer or business.
There are those that will back them and defend them to no end because they enjoy their products just as much as anyone else, myself included. However, when will people see that Karve/Christopher Bradley has to do a complete revamping on operations, manufacturing and just running the business in an economical & straightforward way?
Just to prove my point. Here’s another instance of just “what the hell are they doing?” Making a mistake one right after the other. The errors are basically automatic at this point. It feels as if there isn’t a blunder every other week or so, we’d be missing something. I mean seriously, it’s like I’m watching an episode or an entire season of the famed American western tv series “F-Troop”. All you need over at Karve is Corporal Agar to make it work.
I’ve included a link and a cut & paste version for those that don’t have access to Instagram’s site. This is just amazing on how things get so array in the Karve shop/business. Even the small simple things are monumental projects/endeavors. In this instance, it’s about improper lighting. Light bulbs people! Ok, he didn’t know the differences but, as a machinist and taking on the task of polishing your own products a bit of research or due diligence on his end would have solved this issue before it even started. Ok, he admitted his mistake, that’s fine for the Karve apologists. What’s next? The dog urinated on his carbide tipped, mercury coated mills and rendered them useless in providing roughing and finishing work? I really do get a chuckle out of this.
Some will not be happy with me. Oh well, you can’t please everyone....

Most of them are out and received by their owners, with warm feedback, but there are still a few left in the shop.
I made a huge push back in April to get the polishing finished only to discover fine scratches when I started to pack them a couple of days later. I've struggled with scratches before and adjusted my process, but these were different and much finer. The parts looked good in the shop, but the natural light in my shipping area brought out the scratches. I’ve since learned that professional polishers use incandescent lamps because fluorescent lamps will hide flaws.
The top cap here is the one that I reworked today. The upper image is before rework and the lower image is after rework (the fine scratches run up and down in the upper image). This top cap completes a razor, which will be shipped on Monday. I'm putting in sessions every day or two to get through the remainder.
