What’s so funny about a waitlist survey

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I chuckled as I find it quite ironic with all the delays, broken promises and deadlines that were pushed back. And they put out a wait list survey it's like "WTF?' I'd just fill it out with one sentence.

WHERE'S MY GOD DAMN RAZOR??!!

To me it's funny. We just don't share the same humour is all.

What’s so funny about a waitlist survey

Actually it is a very good thing. I had messed up on the waitlist by not understanding I was supposed to add to cart AND checkout. So I did the former, but not the latter.

I notified him after the thing was closed, and I hadn't received a notification. He said he'd add my name.

So I reached out again when I saw the survey. He had forgotten to do it, so he added me ... complete with confirmation #.

The survey is what he should have done in the first instance ... a Google form like James uses.

The purpose to have everyone's orders in one series of documents, with exact preferences, for ease of reference when completing orders.

He seems to be improving on getting organized.

It does suggest that they haven't even started making parts for the Al and Ti razors.

Honestly, the survey is perfect. At this point, it just seems that people are nitpicking everything that Karve is doing and looking for the bad part. Chris, explained, in his email sent out to those of us on the waitlist that he wants to have an idea of what people want, and I find that fine. I, when signing up for the ti waitlist, was under the impression that he was trying to get the polished ss razors out first before making the ti razors. This is a good thing as well, its what people wanted right? I got into wetshaving around may last year but didn't get into buying artisan and expensive hardware until a bit later. I learned quickly about the Tradere that Blackland was releasing when he announced it in August. I was very excited about the razor and anxiously waited for said razor. It kept getting postponed and postponed and honestly lost all of my excitement for it. The polishing and engraving for that razor has been going on since december/january and when it was released, as a preorder, you had to pay full price and they are still at the polishing and engraving stage. Whats my point? Karve gets a lot of bad comments for how long they take to ship out razors. They screwed up with their polished ss release but listened to people with the ti razor. They aren't charging for a razor they don't have made, they are trying to complete their backorders. From a new customer, I'm happy with how the ti release is proceeding and don't see understand all the negativity they are getting.

When you originally did the transaction to get on the list, did it have an option to pick the plate or plates you wanted and then checked out or was it just a generic Ti razor for checkout?

You just put a generic Ti in the cart and checked out for $0.00 and got an order confirmation email. Then the other day they sent a link to a survey that you put your order number in and filled in what you want. So I guess Chris will make it now and then send you an invoice when it’s ready

This just gets more comical by the day!! It has taken a month to get this info for something that was originally supposed to be released a month ago...LMFAO... Has there actually been any razors mfg'd in the last 30 days? What has he been doing?

It was just a generic checkout, if you had an idea of what you wanted you could include it in the notes. When the survey came out, he asks the ones that didn't include what they would like in the notes to participate in the survey.

Yet again I ask on this thread what people find comical. If Chris hasn’t made a razor or not is his business. Karve has listened and not taken a dime, you’ll pay for your razor when it’s ready and rather than pay upfront. The company says Karve machining on the outside not Karve razors so if he did some industrial work instead of razors what’s the difference. I feel there are people in this community that want to encourage positive interaction and others that just crave negativity. As I always say it’s just shaving, I’ve spent decades traveling around the world to war zones, trust me when I say worry about things that matter
