I do wonder what the current output is. How many razors can a shop churn out per machine and with polishing? I can appreciate there will be variances from company to company. The finishing of my Karve SS (matte) is stunning, including under the cap and base plate.

So what does add to cart mean? simple ready to ship in stock. No not at Karve what a scam. After one month and receiving a similar email as Jimmy H nothing except they have had my$240 to play with. Now the razors won't be ready until March. I requested a refund and at least they promptly issued it.  Wolfmans new ordering system is superior. You use a Google email form, order your razor submit it and promptly get a confirmation. They never ask you for a pre payment. When the razor is finished (3-4 months later) they invoice you and in about 2-3 days the order is shipped and you get tracking. Very smooth very efficient.
Yes it is as Karve noted in their reply to me "frustrating."

Not only James Dufour of Wolfman, but Brian Twilley of Charcoal Goods are efficient and dependable.

I hope Karve gets their act together.

Last year at the beginning of February, my order number was #2500, now we're at >#5000.

Of course, not all of those orders will be complete razors.

"Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for your email,

I've had a look at the screenshot and that order wasn't a polished razor,

Hand-polishing razors take a lot of time and because of that, we're still in the process of preparing those for shipment.

We aim to have all of the polished razors delivered before the beginning of March.

I understand your frustration here but all we can ask you to do is remain patient. We can assure you that you will receive your order."

That's just a shame Jimmy what he is doing to you and others and I would certainly think that 2 months to mfg and polish a razor would be more than sufficient time to do just that but this just affirms what I've been saying for almost 2 yrs now and that is that I refuse to order from a vendor that is dishonest!! All he has done so far is bankroll yours and others $ to do R&D on future ventures and anything other than finish your razor and get it shipped to you!!

Now he has the balls to ask you to be patient and wait another 2 months for a razor that was portrayed as "BEING IN STOCK"!! This guys not just dishonest, he's a friggin "THIEF"!! That razor better look like a James Dufore razor when you receive it for having to wait so long!! I commend you on your strength to be patient...

Jimmy did the invoice say Polished? There’s an obvious price difference between regular and polished as well so are they just blowing smoke or was the invioice intentionally vague?

The post which showed the shipping confirmation (post #1,354) didn't include the invoice, nor the specifics of the order. So I assume they were telling it like it is. At least they responded to my inquiry, and didn't ignore it.

anyone know if karve has produced any aluminum OC heads?  From what I remember only SB aluminum heads were sold previously?

Karve was saying that the order before JimmyH’s was not a polished one, so it came out faster, and poor JimmyH will have to wait ... indefinitely.

Actually it is not 'indefinitely' ... Their email reply to me said, "We aim to have all of the polished razors delivered before the beginning of March." What's a few month between 'Add To Cart' and shipping confirmation ? What gets me is the 'polished by hand.' If the guy is using sandpaper in graduated grits, paper towels, and Semichrome I'm in a heap of trouble.

What's a few months between 'Add To Cart' and shipping confirmation ?

Then I hope Karve doesn't run out of paper towels and that you enjoy the razor once it makes its way into your hands. At this point, I'm just kind of perversely monitoring how long it takes orders to be fulfilled. From a quality and finishing standpoint, the matte one is best razor I have and I love it ... though I suspect your collection is much nicer than mine at this stage.
