I predict he will put himself out of business as people will wise up to the game he's been playing and find out that if he doesn't have the money from, (in stock) pre-orders then he won't have the money to make the razors and he will go belly up... Simple as that really.... I've said it before and I'll say it again, dishonest vendor at best!! He'll never get a dime of my money or any suggestion for someone to buy his product.
I'm a Nov 29, 19 order ... letting it go for another week ... he just notified order # 4957 for shipping, and I'm 4958 ... so within 7 days or I file a paypal dispute and never again darken his door.

I sure hope you get yours very soon and hoping you don't have to file a dispute. That can be even more of a hassle especially this far into the game...

You have some good points there.

Is that order number or wait list? Two very different things. Though still, to wait this long for Black Friday purchase that was listed as “in stock” is pretty bad.

Brian Twilley is a one man operation, as is/was Karve.

This is part of Charcoal Goods latest monthly email update ;

Ready to Ship means just that. The item is in a box ready to come live in your shave den! Every effort is made to ship all orders within 1-3 business days. If there are any issues that would delay your order fulfillment you'll be contacted immediately!

Karve has no excuse for not doing business in the same manner.

As JimmyH has said, ready to ship denotes just that, ready to ship. Perception is everything. It's a double edged sword perception is, but when backed by facts it is a hard thing to overcome. I can say seeing new orders being allowed when you haven't even received your own item doesn't sit well. Talking about new things to come doesn't sit well either. Not trying to add to the bandwagon so to say, and I know I'm not. I wouldn't have purchased the product if I didn't like what I saw and what I heard. It just sours what should be an excellent experience and something I was looking forward to.

Well, I sent Karve an email with a screen shot of order # 4957 (post #1,354) ... I'm # 4958 ... So like Where Is Mine ??

Just received this in my inbox ... I guess I'm going to wait for it.  Cool

"Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for your email,

I've had a look at the screenshot and that order wasn't a polished razor,

Hand-polishing razors take a lot of time and because of that, we're still in the process of preparing those for shipment.

We aim to have all of the polished razors delivered before the beginning of March.

I understand your frustration here but all we can ask you to do is remain patient. We can assure you that you will receive your order."

I had the same experience with a Karve polished stainless steel razor which I ordered like other people on November 29,2019. Ordering says add to cart. So what does add to cart mean? simple ready to ship in stock. No not at Karve what a scam. After one month and receiving a similar email as Jimmy H nothing except they have had my$240 to play with. Now the razors won't be ready until March. I requested a refund and at least they promptly issued it. Wolfmans new ordering system is superior. You use a Google email form, order your razor submit it and promptly get a confirmation. They never ask you for a pre payment. When the razor is finished (3-4 months later) they invoice you and in about 2-3 days the order is shipped and you get tracking. Very smooth very efficient.
