Karve Shaving Co. A new DE Brass razor to market.

Personally I love the Karve and since I ended up picking up the C, D, E, and F plates have a wonderful variety of options. However, after shaving and starting with the D plate and moving upward I will more than likely primarily be using an E and/or F plate from now on. The smooothness of the shave with the higher plates is where I feel it greatly excels.

Two things on my wish list for Karve:

1) Stainless Steel
2) Open Comb

Will be furiously clicking buy if they ever do SS or Ti.

Yesterday the Gamechanger, today the Karve with the D plate. And yes, another exceptionally good shave that was close, smooth and very comfortable. Though I prefer the E & F plates on the Karve, if I’m not in the hunt for a BBS finish the D fits the bill nicely. Light blade feel yet still good efficiency with just enough audible feedback to let one know that it’s taking care of business. Just an absolute joy of a razor to use for whatever shave situation may arise. As a shaving system razor with multiple plates, it only really has one competitor, the Rockwell 6s/6c. And in my humble opinion, it beats it any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Superbly engineered and manufactured for not much $$$. A steal if you ask me....

My two favorite razors right now and I agree with your assessments. Today was the GC and tomorrow will be the Karve with the D plate.

I just finished a side by side comparison of the Dart, Karve F plate and RR GC 84. I found the Dart to be the most efficient and had the longest lasting BBS followed by the Karve F then the GC. The GC was the smoothest shave then Karve then Dart.  None of them were harsh and all gave a 3 pass BBS These 3 razors really represent excellent construction and shave quality. The only thing they lack, and it may not matter to many, is the quality finish you see in the higher end razors.  If they are still available I am adding a polished Dart to my Vector order tmw.

I love my Karve. I’d kill for a Ti or even an aluminum version.

Me too. I know some people say it doesn't make a difference, but I've found that a polished razor glides better and feels like a smoother shave to me.

Here it is after about an hour with some wadding polish, a microfiber cloth and some elbow grease. I'm pretty pleased with the result and can't wait to shave with it again! I'm going to let it naturally patina from here.
