Roughly how long have you recent purchasers had to wait before shipping?

About 5 days then another 10 for delivery to my house.

Dang. I’m at 10 days post ordering and no shipping notification yet. I’ll give it another day or so and then check in.

I definitely liked the brushed look when I first got the razor (the polished ones above look awesome).  Mines starting to develop dark spots now. Personally it doesn't bother me and I don't want to have to polish it constantly so I probably will just leave it alone and let the patina happen.  I went with just the 'C' plate and was thinking of ordering another plate but now I think I will wait to see what comes out in SS.  If there is not a huge price increase I may just pick one of those up.  

Would use caution in the future as plates and razors become avail. on the BST in case someone got a little aggressive with a Dremel.

If you decide to use sand paper (wet) please be careful and go very slowly and carefully in order not to alter the original geometry. I would suggest to start with 2000grit paper and then gradually move up to 6000grit. At that point the surfaces should be pretty ready for some jewelers compound and polishing tissue you can buy through Amazon (Sunshine Polishing Cloths for Sterling Silver, Gold, Brass and Copper Jewelry).

Cool thanks for the info! I'm undecided. If you think there's a risk of screwing up the geometry, I might just succumb to patina, or follow vtmax's example and have someone else do it.. Would it look weird if I polish but don't sand the top of the base plate and bottom of the cap? Would that alleviate the risk?

Based on the success another fella had using Cape Cod polishing cloths, I bought a couple. I haven’t used them yet, but I look forward to sitting on the front porch on a hot, sunny day (if we ever have another) rubbing the Karve brass to see if I can get a similar shine.

Most welcome! If you just polish the top of the baseplate without sending it, it would almost completely eliminate the possibility of adversely impacting the designed geometry. I also did not do anything with the bottom of the top cap.

Alex is right. I had a talk with the polisher about geometry and to steer clear of certain areas like the bottom of the top cap!
