Went back to my F plate today after taking a break for the last 2 weeks and going through my rotation of razors. After today’s shave with Grooming Dept Incense and Rose soap, I will state again that the Karve with F plate is still in my number 1 razor spot. No nicks, weepers or irritation and an extremely close 2.5 pass BBS. This razor is by far the smoothest I have ever used and one of the few I can use a fresh Feather blade with and not worry about getting cut. Amazing and worth 2-3 times the cost!!

Great George. Canada Post can’t get here fast enough.

Speaking of Instagram the last two posts on karveshavingco show Chris Bradley’s own Karve with a nice deep rich patina. A beautiful golden brown spread evenly throughout the razor.

I saw that and love it!! Might be the lighting too though. I did notice that my handle groves got darker after I took the Cape Cod cloth to it.

I hadn't notice mine changing color over the month or so that I had it. But when I compared it with the new one that I had just received, I immediately noticed that the first one had darkened.

The first one I ordered was at the end of December and I haven't noticed it darkening, it could be gradual so I may have not noticed, but I did order another with the new plates so I will be able to see the difference when it arrives.

On his instagram photo it may have been taken under incandescent lighting which may warm it up a bit.

Well, I've been enjoying the 3" handle with a D plate for a couple of weeks now. I broke down today and ordered a 3.5" handle with C, E, and F plates. I will let my wife decide which handle she likes best. I won't have to worry about the plates. She'll pick one of the milder choices. I love this razor. I've never done anything like this before. I just love this razor.

I know I should not read threads like this. Just ordered a 3" D Plate. Looking forward to giving it a try.

What plate would be equivalent or better to the 17-4 Paradigm? I have the Paradigm but want more efficiency.

I have a question regarding whether the heads and handles are standard thread?

It's on their website:

Quote:Razor and each has a #10-32 thread.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
