I like the smoothness of the D plate (the only one I've tried), but I just can't get a close enough shave with it. Understand, I'm a bit of an outlier, in that I place efficiency above all else, and am willing to live with "aggressive," or blade-forward, razors to get the extremely close, long-lasting shaves I expect. I'm very hopeful about the F plate.

I understand what you were saying anyway I am similar. What are your favorite razors that accomplish this for you
