Hi Joseph, this looks great, I see that the Razorock line is for sale on both amazon.com and amazon.ca.  Maybe you can answer a question I've had for a while?  Why would the Razorock aftershave wax list for $16.99 on amazon.com and $63.99 on amazon.ca?  I know there's FX but the difference in dollars isn't that much!  I would obviously buy this stuff directly from IB but I've noticed outrageously stupid pricing for many items (not just RR) on the Canadian amazon site.  I don't think it helps the brand to see such a ridiculous price disparity.  I'm guessing there are opportunistic resellers out there who may prey on ignorance but do they take us for complete morons or what? I will often compare the two amazon sites for pricing on products and will buy front he one that comes in cheapest but some things won't ship to Canada.

We don't sell on Amazon.ca so I'm not sure if it's a cross listing thing where someone on .com is listing from the USA.

Yup. Global Depot has some RR listings. $50-60 for a soap + $10 for delivery. The best one is a seller that has ZP for $390+

All evidence has been buried. All tapes have been erased.

I just wish you'd require a disclosure that the "reviews" are contest entries first and reviews second. People should know that the reviews are only being posted in hopes of winning free products, even if they are honest.

Thats interesting. I looked again on .ca and there is a La Famiglia Green Tobacco soap listed for $390.00 sold by Nakoop Books. Also there's a hyperlink that says buy online at: which takes you to Menessentials.ca I looked at the razorback products on .com (obviously not all of them) and the ones that I picked had the same soap for $16.99 sold by various vendors. I'm just curious about Amazon's practices/policies and while I still buy things from amazon, when it comes to shaving supplies I prefer to buy directly from the maker or reputable online vendors. I have had excellent service from the online vendors that I've dealt with, pricing has always been fair and competitive including shipping costs which domestically are generally free. In the years that I've been buying online I've had one item damaged and that was a glass bottle of balm breaking due to freezing. The fix is that I have determined a "freezable item season" during which I won't buy any freezable items - its fas approaching. Maybe a week or two left.

I second this suggestion, it doesn't hurt to be honest. In my experience, when I buy something on Amazon, in about 2 or 3 weeks, Amazon sends me an email asking how I liked the product, and if I am willing to post a review. I post my honest opinions, good, bad, or indifferent.

Also, if I am going to buy something from The Italian Barber, I buy it directly from TIB website! Duh!!! Why would I not? I don't understand this. Is this posting solely for the purpose of directing buyers away from TIB website and steering them toward Amazon and toward posting reviews? That further adds to the inability to understand why this makes any sense. No offense intended, just being honest.

Edit, it just occurred to me that maybe Amazon permits anyone to post reviews, not only those who bought the item on Amazon. This would make sense of the above, if I want to make myself a list of all of the ITB products (RazoRock branded) and then go to Amazon and post my reviews there, regardless of where I bought it or when I used that product. Maybe this is the answer to my own question. I'll give that a try, and if I can do that, I certainly will do it for all of my RR products (if I can remember which ones I've used in the past several years).

Anyone can post a review on anything on Amazon, regardless of where you purchased it. If you purchased the item from Amazon and leave a review, I believe it shows up as "Verified Purchase" or something to that nature, to show you actually bought and own the item being reviewed.

If you see a slew of reviews all around the same date and unverified, it is usually a red flag for me. I don't base too much on Amazon reviews for this reason.

I don't know the rules about posting a link to Amazon, or to a specific item, but to catch the drift you can search "microwave cookbook for one" and read the reviews. It's hilarious, and then you understand not to put too much faith in these reviews... I usually read only the verified purchase ones and still take it with a grain of salt.
