You might not be able to see the pins on the lower plate but they line up with the blades perfectly.

Why not show the naked blade. Suspecting it won't fit Vector but who knows

It won't fit the Vector due to the Vector's center post. It's designed to insert into the middle hole of AC blades, but injector blades don't have that middle hole so there's nowhere for the post to go.

That was my suspicion. Thank you for clarifying Blackland Razors.  Nor would it fit even were there a central hole as the Vector relies on the lateral extremes of the holes of blades designed for AC razors

Loving your Vector; best shave ever, even surpassing straights

The blade that DanLaw showed in his photo appears to be a regular injector style blade. I am not sure which blades the OP is using.

You may want to specify which photo. To best recollection, have never posted a photo in this thread.

Further, the only AC single edge blade photos RE AC razors posted in any photos on any thread are Feather AC, Kai and Schick intended specifically for AC style razors.

Sorry Dan

You had quoted a post from the OP showing the injector blade in his razor. I mistakenly thought that you had posted the photo; you did not.

My advice is, and always has been, that AC style blades should be used in razors designed to use AC blades. While the shorter injector blades might rest on the pins of an AC razor, without being clamped tightly on the ends, there is the possibility of minor movement of the blade. While that might work in an emergency if the OP does not have access to AC blades, it is not a good solution long term.  Furthermore, if the blade does not extend to the ends of the head, it is impossible to shave close to the ears and nose.

Facts not just talk

1. My Boti AC razor was made to accept both AC blades and "Personna injector blades" per the manufacturer.
2. The shaves (2) have been outstanding and better then AC blades(IMHO) based on short experience.
3. I can shave just as close to my ears regardless of safety razor used including Boti AC using an injector blade or an AC blade.
4. Razor clapping is not an issue and never was. The injector blade is locked in once the handle is tightened just like the AC blade.

That well and truly great and glad for you.

My main point, and it no small matter, is not wanting others to attribute your advice to me - irrespective whether concurred or dissented.

Further, know for a fact that this type blade will not work in all AC razors without significant modification.

Most critically for me, have substantial discomfort with blade sizing even in applications where it does fit.

NOTE: this is my discomfort, have neither made a standalone post extolling nor denigrating this application BUT as Thomas More voiced his opinion when convicted and cornered, there you have it.

Others are more than welcome to hold their opinion, which the absence of and disrespect for dissent at TSN eventually led to a public forum incapable of and unwilling to fight for its right to peaceably exist.

While the Boti AC razor might be able to accept injector razor blades, that does not necessarily mean that they are the best blades to use in the razor.

When you consider that there are various alternatives in the AC blade market, you should be able to find an AC length blade that will suit your needs.

Feather makes he Feather AC Profession Super, Professional (original), Professional Light, and Pro Guard blades.

Kai makes the Captain Original, Titan Mild, and Titan Mild with guard blades.

Schick/Personna make Proline blades.

The only ones I have used are the Feather AC Professional (original) blades. I find the blades to be both sharp and smooth, in spite of having a very coarse beard and very sensitive skin. If you do not enjoy the shave with the AC Pro Super blades, try the regular AC Professional ones. I find them quite similar to the Chinese made Schick injector blades I use in my Schick Type L injector razor.

If you prefer the injector blades to the AC blades, I suggest your purchase either a vintage or modern injector razor.

I think it's interesting to see different ways of using gear, independent of the maker.
Sort of reminds me of alterations made with razors or perhaps blades to work in non OEM manners.
It's fun to see out of ordinary.

Thanks for the info that the Boti is designed for both blades. I have this razor and I didn't know that. I'll probably try it at some point.
