Injector Blades for My AC Razor

I have a Boti Avenger AC razor and it states on their website that injector blades will also fit the razor so I ordered a cartridge of Personna injector blades from Amazon. Of course for some reason if they don't fit I can easily return them for a refund. The injector blades are 1.5" long vs 2.0" for the ACs. We will see tomorrow as they are suppose to arrive Sunday.

Why not show the naked blade. Suspecting it won't fit Vector but who knows

The injector is the exact width as the Pro Super except shorter and the Pro Super fits the Vector per Shane. The Injector and Pro Super blade have the identical cut outs for pin placement so you should be good to go.

Thanks for sharing. I will have to try this on my La Faulx and Vector. Pro Super fits both razors and is my preferred blade on both. I am intrigued to compare efficiency difference between the two blades. Although I wonder if the extra length of the AC razor head might lead to missed areas, given the shorter length of the actual cutting surface of the injector blade.

I will have to compare the hole pattern of the schick twin injector blade. If that has the same width and is compatible with the La Faulx... Well, that could be very interesting.

There are two different types of injector blades. One is the Feather style Artist Club (aka AC) injector blades. They have a blade thickness of 0.254mm and a blade length of 50mm. Schick also makes Proline blades that have dimensions similar to the Feather AC blades. Kai sells Captain blades which are also AC style,

The other style is the original Schick style injector blade. They are also sold under the Personna brand. Both Schick and Personna are brands owned by Edgewell Personal Care. These blades are shorter than the AC style blades. It appears you purchased the shorter blade.


While using the shorter Personna injector blades in the AC style razor might work, the blades are short and are not properly supported on the ends. That might allow the blade to move during use, If the blade does shift, that could cause irritation or even injury. Thus, if you do decide to use the blades in this manner, monitor blade alignment frequently, especially if you experience any discomfort during the shave.

I suggest that you obtain a pack of either the Feather AC blades (various types are available), Kai Captain blades, or the Personna Proline blades. Just make sure you get the ones with or without an injector key depending upon the design of your razor. All three of the blades are manufactured in Japan.

First shave this morning with the Personna injector (mini hair shaper blade) was great. The Personna with their patented coating makes rings around the AC Pro Super. The blades width are the same. The AC blades are 2" long vs 1.5" for the Personna. Of course will see if I can get 10 shaves out of the Personna. As far as blade clamping there are no issues. The acid test is if you try them yourself. I have been using Feathers for years as well as most of the others. They are all good but the Personna shines (for me).

Blades designed for use in some hair shapers are longer than blades for use in Schick injector razors. My wife used to cut my hair with a Fromm shaper. It used blades that were the width of injector blades, but it had a stiff back similar to GEM single edge blades. 

The blade that DanLaw showed in his photo appears to be a regular injector style blade. I am not sure which blades the OP is using.

You may want to specify which photo. To best recollection, have never posted a photo in this thread. 

Further, the only AC single edge blade photos RE AC razors posted in any photos on any thread are Feather AC, Kai and Schick intended specifically for AC style razors. 

Finally, the only blades mentioned to date as desirable for AC razors based on trials have been Feather. Even with Feather AC blades, have mentioned that the ProLights require modification to fit certain AC razors.

If in error, I expect a retraction of my name associated with that advice, better a deletion of the post and a repost identifying the actual party suggesting such. Strongly object to being associated with potentially harmful advice.
