The next batch of START is ready for sale, on the website we will add on Monday both sets and accessories.
Are you going to have a US seller like Maggards or West Coast Shaving for timely shipping, and to prevent lost razors? Keith

Last shave with the Start razor was with the .90 SB and OC. Devoted the OC plate to my right side and the SB to the left. The OC plate left me pleasantly surprised, and found the shave quite nice. I remembered after finishing the shave that the OC plate is a long tooth OC which has always ended up being better for me. I have a few patches on both sides that I missed as well as a bit of irritation on my right side. This is due to being tired and not the fault of the razor. Razor handles exceptionally well around the corners of my mouth and under my lower lip. I can’t think of better atm. Blade feel and aggressiveness were quite similar to each other, but felt smooth. I believe trying some other blades could improve the smoothness further, but no complaints.

I even managed to use no alum until the end, and while I felt I have a more secure grip with alum on the fingers, I did just fine with grip. I know the kneeling is planned to be made a bit deeper so that grip should be just fine. Highly suggest a little alum though if you feel you need more. Works for razors and brushes for me. Overall I am well pleased with the razor set as a whole, and will more than likely pick up a set when possible. A fixed adjustable razor set works just fine for my tastes as I’ve never been much incline to change settings during a shave. For the money it is an excellent product. I know there is Karve and Rockwell as well, but haven’t tried those. Karve I have been waiting months for a regular stainless steel, and will only have one plate. Rockwell I just like the aesthetics of the other two better. Having tried this I could see it being a complete set most people would be well pleased with!

Yes, they are here. These are the prototype 1.3 blade gap plates in both straight bar & open comb configuration in both matte and polished finishes. A big thank you to Homelikeshaving & Gopneg for making this possible and available for us wetshavers to try here stateside. Can’t say enough about how lucky we are to sample these new offerings from various artisan manufacturers. Again, a big thank you to the both of these Gentlemen.

A quick first impression coming up in just a bit. Very quickly, these are prototypes and not the final production based items as of yet. Homelikeshaving provided them for members here on this forum to try these samples out for a time roughly 3 months as was stated to me via my pm’s with GopnegI will set up a list for a pass around and it will be based on a first come, first served basis. The number will probably be 8-10 members so that we can allow for each shaver to sample them for a week and still be close to the 3 months allotted time frame for the pass around. I’m waiting on a response from andrewjs18 to see how to proceed forward with it. If interested, just copy and paste the list below and place your name in it. More details to follow. I need to go shave.... Big Grin
