HomelikeShaving and their START SS Razor. From Russia with Love....

Round 2 Today.  This time head shave only using the 0.90 OC paired with my Ikon Bulldog Handle, which is just a bit heavier than the Start Handle.  

• Results were still very good.  I think the 1.18 was just a bit closer.
  
• I like the head geometry of the Start better than the ATT razors.  Just makes it feel a bit more smooth.  Particularly the 0.90 OC compared to the H2.  I've never liked the feel of the teeth on the H2.  I can't really feel them on the Start.
  
• The slightly heavier handle paired with the slightly lighter OC plate made the balance better.  Still not quite where I would prefer it, but better.
  
• It felt like the sweet spot on the angle was much smaller than with the 1.18 plate.  I had to pay closer attention to it and found myself wanting to apply more pressure at times because of that.
  

I think so far I prefer the 1.18 plate.  In general, I do tend to prefer straight bars to OCs, but I think the 1.18 has a wider effective angle and just a bit more efficiency, too.  I'm going to go back to the 1.18 for the next shave, maybe paired with a different blade this time just for some additional variation.

I'm not sure. I know ShaveSymptomatic decided to pass on it I didn't know anyone else was ahead of me. I'm sorry though. Perhaps the list got mixed up or something. I'll be sure that the next person that wants in on it, gets it safely though!

Homelike Start Razor Received! Really excited to try it. Starting out with the .69 plate is the soap sample any good? Thanks! Also when it's time ship it out to the next person should i ship it in the same box it was shipped to me in?

The razor is beautiful and well constructed, usually prefer matte finish razors but I really like the look of the handle and the finish looks nice. It feels very comfortable to hold, Although i wish it had a more grippy knurling, I had no issues with it slipping. I shaved my dome with the .69 plate with a fresh personna blue (made in USA one) aswell as Barrister and Mann Leviathan Soap. It was a decent shave but didn't find it to be as smooth or efficient as the Razorock Gamechanger .68. Perhaps the blade didn't work well for it or my angle was off so I'm going to try the plate again later this week with different blades and see if I can make it work better aswell as have a showdown between that plate and the gamechanger. Tomorrow I will be using the .90 plate, Wednesday the .90 Open Comb, Thursday the 1.18 plate, and friday the .68 plate again, Saturday I will use the .90 plate again and then ship it out to the next dude on the list by 12PM if that is okay?
