Thank you Dave for such an informative video. I too have been enjoying the START razor, bought all the plates except the .69 as I would find that plate way too mild.

I know I'm late to the game here, but if possible, may I please be added to the pass around? I live in Missouri.

I might end up caving and just buying outright, but for right now I'm managing to hold out. If I get added and do cave, I'll ask to be removed. Thanks to all who are posting their impressions!

Well, I did the shave off tonight between the Raw Shaving RS-10 and the Start 1.18. Very interesting comparison. I used a once used Feather in the RS-10 and a once used Voskhod in the Start. I have to say that the Start razor really stayed right there with the RS-10 in efficiency but the RS-10 had it beat on smoothness but surprisingly, not by much! The real test for me will be growth tomorrow morning. I have always loved the RS-10 and it’s smoothness and feeling like you could NEVER cut yourself using any blade with it no matter how sharp. I do have more efficient razors these days though (H&S No75, Rocnel Elite 2019 A, Wolfman WR2 1.25, Karve G SB, CG L3 SB) but the RS-10 is smoother than any razor that I have. Interesting thing about the Start 1.18 is it can hold its own right there with all of these and at the price that it sells for, it is an absolute STEAL!! The build quality of the head really reminds me of a Wolfman WR1 without the incredible finish that James gives his razors. Here are a couple pics but the professional pics will be posted on my Instagram page under gmhjr06. Stay tuned for my face feel in the morning! By the way, both razors gave me a nick free 2.5 pass BBS shave!

Shave # 328 ( 381 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: START (SB .90 Gap) Razor by Homelikeshaving.ru
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Wolf Whisker Black Wolf Knot
Soap: @CBLSoap.com Iron Throne
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Florida Water
Fragrance: Spices Boom

Had another smooth shave with the START Razor SB .90 Gap this time. No issues but the sweet spot for efficiency seems to be hard for me to find. I get a nice smooth shave and a DFS result but stray spots seem to be ducking under the blade keeping me from getting my typical BBS all over. More details in the video

1.18 SB plate does not turn this into an aggressive razor at all. Just smooth and efficient. Handle is the H&S N075 which balances a bit better than stock.[Image: 9542f642b3dcad536fc3d4497c79e5e6.jpg]

Yeah, the .90 SB just didn't cut it for me today like the 1.18 did yesterday in efficiency/smoothness. Going to try the .90 OC tomorrow but may be revisiting the 1.18 after tomorrow if tomorrow's shave is similar to today's.

I hate to tell you, but I think your bowl has measle bumps. Haha   No, really I was just admiring it and thinking that's a pretty slick looking bowl. Not to mention the nice razors, George.
