Preshave- Hot shower & Castle & Forbes pre-shave
Soap - Castle &  Forbes lavender
Brush- Carnavis & Richardson B3
Thayer lavender and Castle & Forbes lavender balm to end the shave.
I used a 2 use Persona Red in the Start .90 Sb vs RS10 Ti aggr plate
First pass WTG. The RS10 is significantly lighter and was a little smoother WTG, minimal blade feel with either razor but they both took down the majority of my 24 hour growth.
Second pass XTG. Again the RS10 was just a touch smoother.  Cold water rinse and the RS10 side was only in need of a touchup under the jawline and the upper lip, the Start side needed more on my neck plus upper lip and jawline.
Third pass ATG.  I was really enjoying the shave so I did a full lather and did a complete ATG pass. Both razors handled it very smoothly with a slight nod to the RS10.
I got a wife tested BBS shave with both razors, no irritation at all.  I would say the RS10 is still the smoothest razor in my collection, the Start( especially based on cost) did very well but was slightly less efficient and not as smooth as the RS10.

Good stuff amigo. Real good. The RS10 is considered by many to be one of the smoothest modern DE’s ever produced. A shame that this razor artisan closed their doors....

This last shave with the Start Razor I went back to the 1.18 plate because the lower gaps just take more effort, for me. Soap this shave was the M&M Nantahala, and the blade was used feather (4). What a combination I had, slick, smooth and sharp! I had nice glide from the soap, a smooth run with the razor and a sharp cut with the blade. I shifted over after the first past and use my TIBam Titanium New York handle. With this titanium handle it made a nice balance of weight for my preferences. Are Russian Brothers are great with metals it seems. (Take a look at the metals artisans on Etsy sometime, very nice Russian made metal things for a nice house etc...) Anyway back to the shave. Talk about smooth cutting of my coarse beard, and pretty smooth ATG. I wondered what it would be like to put a shim in one of these razors, but I have never done it I didn't own the razor or have much time.
I just thought today what a blessing to be able to use all of this excellent cutting gear, instead of just an old tuggy disposable cartridge with some kind of quick foam canned soap etc..
The razor is on to Dave in KY enjoy guys!

RS10 is the smoothest razor in my den, too.
Have you ever had a chance to compare Ti vs. SS?
I really tried to get Ti version, but I was too late, Avi made only few.

CK89 I had the SS version and after receiving the Titanium I sold the SS version as the Ti was just a softer feel on my face. I had the same experience with my Timeless.

Avi didn't get enough fund to grow the company. He preferred to shut-down.
He is pretty easy-going guy, and made one the best razor and the smoothest one.
Wish he could keep making newer versions.

I have the SS RS-10 and I would say that the Start 1.18 would be more efficient but I need to compare the 2 side by side. Might do that very soon as I kept the RS-10 with Aggressive plate which has no business being called aggressive!
My current best in the smooth\efficiency game is the Haircut & Shave No75 full stainless razor. After shaving with the Start 1.18, I would put it a close 3rd behind the H&S and the Rocnel 2019 Elite A.The Karve G plate is right up there too.

I just thought today what a blessing to be able to use all of this excellent cutting gear, instead of just an old tuggy disposable cartridge with some kind of quick foam canned soap etc..
The razor is on to Dave in KY enjoy guys!

Don't worry about shim plate. Get adjustable one when it is available.
Homelike adjustable looks like Gibbs or Rex, but the base plate, especially its bars are similar to Start razor.
It is more like Start Adjustable than Gibbs. And you can get higher gaps than 1.18.

Those sound nice, and I'm looking forward to it. These are a nice design.
