Is there anyone who can compare the mildness and efficiency of any version of the Henson to a Pils?

Is there anyone who can compare the mildness and efficiency of any version of the Henson to a Pils?

I sold my Pils and will keep the Henson. The medium Henson more efficient, slightly more aggressive but still a mild razor.

Note they couldn't be more different in weight and handling.

After selling off all my razors back in 2019 in favor of keeping only a Schick N3 injector, I bought a Pils recently as I wanted to add variety to my routine with a mild razor I knew performed well. However, my true preference is for razors which are light with a flatter head(think SE razors).

The Henson is relatively new to the market and sparked my curiosity due to its tight tolerances and mild reputation. Perhaps it will unseat my Pils also!

I didn't get along with the Pils at all. It was unwieldy and an ineffective head shaver. The Henson is neither.

First use of the Henson (M). I swapped the too long for me handle for the more comfortable Lupo (?). Face shave with second use BIC felt a bit rough, switched out for a Feather head shave which was excellent, single lather ATG and pickups. I'd say keeper.

I haven't used my henson in a few months, I'll use it for my face shave tomorrow night!

Boy, talk about peer pressure. I just pulled the trigger on a Rocket Red AL13 Mild.
I've been good though.
I haven't bought a razor since August 2019.



Pity I missed the deadline (March) on the promo code.

I use the medium for almost every shave. Big fan of Henson's here. I think you'll really like it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Henson owner once say that he would always offer a discount to shave forum members after the price increase?

I was holding out for an aggressive/stainless version... but I think I might have to just snag a medium/aluminum.

I only see two posts by him, and only one discuss a discount (which ended 3/31).

I’ve been revisiting the Henson Ti ++ (or Medium) lately and have been kicking myself a little bit. With a sharp blade, this thing just works wonders. 

3 smooth passes and great efficiency, which usually lasts well into the evening. I think you get pretty close with the AL version, but you don’t get much closer with the loss in comfort from the aggressive Ti, at least I didn’t. The medium just gets the job done, comfortably with zero issue.
