He looks like he is using a lot of pressure. I don't have a Henson razor but have been thinking of getting one.

I just got one. So far this is the best razor I've used.

Most razors give me razor burn. I'd been using a Dorco PL602 (very comfortable & fairly effective) followed by some buffing/cleanup with the OneBlade Core (the plastic one, I can never keep the names straight for long). BBS or near-BBS with little or no irritation.

On the first try, the Henson was noticeably more effective than the Dorco & with no irritation. Didn't quite do a perfect job on the neck, but I haven't tried the un-twisting trick yet.

The untwisting trick is a gamechanger for me. It really is a great razor... Glad to see another convert.

Didn't see your selection: was it Mild or Medium?

Got a bit of irritation after un-twisting. Might end up sticking with the OneBlade for cleanup...

IMHO the Mild is the best option for daily users with sentive skin.
By far!!!

I literally made an account to say that this razor (Specifically the mild version) has been the best DE shave I've ever had, and I cannot see myself going back to cartridge razors anymore. In 2019 I decided to ditch my cartridge shaving routine because of how much money cartridges were for someone who shaved every two to three days. I purchased a DE Razor kit from Maggard razors and had a really rough time with it to the point that I ended up shelving the razor and going back to cartridge shaving.

A few weeks ago, I was researching mild razors. After narrowing down my decision, I ended up skipping the Henson (lol) in favor of a different razor (Supply Co Single Edge). That razor was really nice, but I still had issues pulling on my hair/skin and cutting myself quite a bit during shaving. Additionally, something I didn't realize at the time was that Single Edge blades were a fair bit more expensive on Amazon than the DE blades I had on my wishlist. I decided to order the Henson AL13, and it arrived Thursday. When I had shaved with it, I was going on four days of growth, but even still, the shave was so fantastic that it blew me away. No tugging, no cuts, no bleeding. It was the best shave I've ever had. I am not an expert, so I can't explain the science behind the razor-head design, but my favorite thing about this razor is that I can use it just like my cartridge razor (Gillette Skinguard) and what I mean by that is that I can run it along the side of my jaw sideways, and run it down my chin without at all having to worry about cutting myself and it still shaves all the hair with ease.

Congratulations, Narbs. Hopefully, the Henson will be the last razor you buy. Smile

First use of the Henson (M). I swapped the too long for me handle for the more comfortable Lupo (?). Face shave with second use BIC felt a bit rough, switched out for a Feather head shave which was excellent, single lather ATG and pickups. I'd say keeper.
