Heavy DE razors

Heaviest razor I ever owned was the Timeless Bronze SB. Excellent razor, is real eye candy, just was too heavy for me.

My heaviest razor is the Parker 98R. It weighs 4.3 ounces (122 grams). While I like the heft of the razor, I am not a big fan of the head design. Thus, it rarely gets used.

Pearl Flex, Merkur Futur, and my PAA Copper Ascension are all pretty beefy.

Anyone got and advice for shaving with such heavy razors?

Very little to ZERO pressure

Yes I see I think this is the problem as the razor is so heavy if you put even a small amount of pressure you will notice it more and get more irritation then with a lighter razor, so do you think shaving with heavy razors is a good idea to develop a light touch and not adding pressure?

As so much in this hobby it’s very subjective. 

I prefer a heavier razor, but I can also shave with an ultra lightweight one (I own the super lightweight Henson Medium Aluminium Copper coloured razor among many other DE razors)
