I’m confused by this. Was this in response to my review?

FWIW I did not take the “hype train” remark as anything but complimentary. If soap were edible, I would call your reviews “mouthwatering”. Please keep them coming.

This was just a quickie palm lather after I received the Janus Tallow v16 to test. Imagine a denser, MORE luxurious version of lusso and you’re close.

Post shave is as expected from GD - in a word fabulous. No need for AS unless you like the smell, which I do but have tested without for a few days and the skin feel is outrageous.

I will post some thoughts on the other new vegan formula tomorrow.

Nice write up! I’m looking forward to your thoughts on the new Vegan formula as well. I can’t wait  to try out the Janus Tallow as well as the “Before The Fire” Tallow/Duck Fat Soaps when they become available.

I have owned over a hundred and fifty different shaving soaps and in all honesty the Grooming Dept new formulas the Janus vegan V3 and the D21 V3 are the best shaving soaps I have ever experienced vegan or tallow. There are other better pictures posted of these formulas as my camera could not capture the beauty of these soaps lathered. The Janus formula is thicker and richer and the D21 is a little bit lighter and maybe has a slight better slickness to it but the biggest difference is the way the Soaps lather with a Janus thicker and creamier but shaving with them both makes no difference. Everyone should at least experience this as soon as they are released. Also important are the ingredients that are used are excellent for the skin and the post-shave is wonderful as well. I really can't speak more highly of the Shaving soap then this.

I need a restock of Unscented tallow and Unscented Duck. These soaps have been amazing and I’ve actually seen an improvement in my rosacea since using them consistently. That alone is something that no other product has done. I hope we have access to them again soon!

Hey Marcos, I have been waiting for Mohammed to restock those for the past 4-5 months now, checking the announcement threads on a daily basis, so far no luck Huh. I have rosacea and acne issues as well (pretty well under control now) which is why I'm looking for GD unscented products. Have you also tried his Asinus (Donkey Milk vegan base - unscented)? The reviews are spectacular, I have tried none but I'm hoping they become available soon!

Precisely no alternative!!! Well-put! I have thick wiry facial hair with very tender, sensitive skin. Soaps comparable to GD are Wholly Kaw, Declaration Grooming, or Eufros Premium Tallow. These have lanolin which doesn't agree with my face. Other soaps like Valobra, Haslinger, or B M latha unscented are good too but do not have the teeth, so to speak, to cut through 4 days of facial growth for me. GD is the only option for me, it is lanolin-free with enough 'safe' oils and butters for a smooth shave!

Honestly, patience is in short supply to wait for a GD unscented soap these days, it's been too long now Sad
