I hear you, CCity I like strong-scented soaps as well, it's just that I need to be a bit more careful with cologne pairings. Take one of the examples you mentioned, the Nuàvia Blu. There are a couple of colognes I can use with it, Le Caron 3rd Man, for example, but because the scent is so strong, I have to be more careful. With the more lightly scented soaps, SMN, XPEC, etc. I can get away with a wider range of scents. So for me, one's not bad or good, just different experiences.

And GroomingDept Mohammad-not to worry. As long as your soaps perform the way they do, I'd use it if even if you only made a limburger/stilton version!

Ha! Third Man is the analog I use with Blu, as well. Perfect pairing, as it ties my recent experience with the Blu to my EdT. I also find using a totally different EdT scent family from Blu is just as nice. To me, it's like listening to two songs on an album in sequence, or listening to two songs on your favorite radio station in sequence. Both are great.

Thought I’d add that with increased scent, there is also a higher risk of some users experiencing various types of skin reactions to the soap. This is obviously a highly individual matter, and may not be a problem for most users, but perhaps something to still keep in mind.

Of course, when you have some variation of scent strengths among your line-up (as it seems you will, Mohammad), you can then steer those with sensitive skin to use the products that have less of a chance of causing adverse reactions.

I have yet to try a soap with a scent too strong. I've found with even my strongest (Nuavia Blu and Rosso, Tabac, etc.), the scent is gone after a cold water rinse and drying my face. Maybe my sniffer is defective, but I challenge any soap maker to make a soap too strong.

Got back from a bike ride, hoping to make soap tomorrow and thinking about my ingredients which were to be delivered to me today, then I see this notice Sad

"Your package was damaged in transit. We will notify the sender with details. / All merchandise discarded. UPS will attempt to notify the sender with details of the damage"

So sorry to hear that, Mohammad. Hopefully, UPS will make it right.

That’s unfortunate, sorry to hear this. These things seem to happen from time to time. Keep us posted on how everything turns out.

Thank you! The vendor is super nice, they're shipping a replacement order mid next week.

Mohammad, I'm glad your supplier made good, and so quickly. I just hope that UPS reimburses him/her.

All good fortune on your next soap making adventure. Happy2

Great to have a nice vendor to work with.

Quick Saturday night shave with the Lavender. Scent strength on this is perfect imo. Really well done. I'll compare that to the increased scented Elan tomorrow.

This is fun! Wink
