Gillette Nacet Blades - Any Good?

Absolutely - its always back to the old drawing board sampling blades every time you get a new razor. I'm not sure yet what will work in the #102.

Its amazing the colour change of the whiskers - I'm more white than grey although I retain a curious dark stripe extending down from the corners of my mouth - badger stripes.

Look forward to your thoughts Clayton- they are really growing on me! Gillettes as a rule don't much agree with my beard but I do like the SB and now the Stainless & Nacet.

I like the SBs in my ikon razor as well as the EJ de89.  I've got a couple packs of the Gillette stainless and one Gillette Platinum on its way from the handlebar supply site.  I'm looking forward to trying them.

Yup, and different blades can make a bad Shaving razor shave smooth, and comfortable. Helps to cut down on RAD.

"Great minds run the same channel", Mark, or is it "Fools think alike",   but that's the same strategy I've come up with. Like a dummy, I bought a couple of blade brands in quantity before knowing about tryablade.com. Wiser now,  I'm assembling an order for tryablade.com wherein I'll be able to properly test a number of blades on my current 3 razors and eliminate, or nearly eliminate, one variable in the never ending YMMV paradox.

I'm trying the Polsilvers first in my Redtip and I'm finding them to be smooth and comfortable blades after one shave. My razor doesn't feel like it has a blade in it. I'll try the Nacet next, then the Silver Blue. It'll be interesting to see how they all perform in my Maggards OC with the MR-8 handle. And also how many quality shaves they give. It would be nice to get it down to one blade type for all my DE's.

I actually bought the 100 pack on a whim without researching any reviews or anything.

Not the smartest move, but it turned out well in the end.

I bought it because I liked the packaging. Its a razor cutting an alligator in half! How can you say no to that.

I find the blade works better with heavier razors, meaning for me-its a good blade to use with stainless steel razors.

My first order from Try a Blade is on its way and a couple of Nacets are included. It will be my first time giving them a try along with a couple of others that are new to me.

I do agree with the others that a different blade can really transform a razor- fun and inexpensive way to try new things.
