These are what I have on order, Kevin.  Some, such as the PTFEs and Voskhods, are replacements while others were picked up more out of curiosity than anything else. Smile

kwsher, I just had my third shave with a Gillette Nacet this morning.  So far I am finding them totally acceptable and if someone gave me a tuck I would certainly use them.  However, there are others that I prefer and would purchase before these. One of my favorites, Gillette 7 O'Clock Dark Blues, I don't believe is produced anymore.  However, I have several tucks stashed away.  Another favorite is the Personna Medical Preps.  I like Astra Platinums a bit more than the Nacets.  There are probably others.  The Nacets are good but the others just seem to have that something more.

Glad to hear Freddy- my same perspective. I get solid shaves from the Nacets but have other blades I enjoy more. Nice to have a variety though. The Gillette SS that @thehandlebar stocks edge out the Nacets IMHO with a very solid shave.

I have used the Nacet Stainless for over a year and it is in my top five blades. I have even tried the discontinued Nacet Platinum, but it was a bust.

Mea Culpa, at the outset of this thread I posted how I had had a bad experience with the Gillette Nacet blade in the RR Black Mamba. I heard from plenty of members in defence of the Nacet blades and I figure, YMMV I guess and left it at that. For some reason I put a Nacet blade into my ikon #102 slant this morning and it was wonderful. First thing that struck me was how much thinner the Nacet blade is than most other DE blades I've used. The next thing was what a wonderful shave I had with it. No nicks, no weepers no burn just BBS all the way Happy2 So I take back any negative comments I may have made regarding the Nacet blades. For me in my 102, they're a great blade. As an aside, I am finding that the 102 gets great performance out of blades that several of my other razors do not. I recently took a feather blade out of my AS-D2 after 3 shaves (which is about the limit for the feather/feather combo) and placed it in the 102 and got 3 more BBS shaves out of it. Its got to be an angles thing but still left me feeling pleased at the value I was getting from the blade.

I like the Nacets too Marko but do find that they can be a little particular about the razor. Not sure that they are available at the local drugstores in Canada such as London or other but the Gillette Platinum Plus blades out of Brasil are in our local drugstores and markets and they really do kick it up a notch. Even better that you can grab a nine pack locally.

If you find them [black/silver pack] would be interested to get your thoughts as I think they take the good of Nacet and amplify it.

I'll look for those blades up here, its generally hard to find anything other than cartridges in retail outlets up here, however. I'll have to check my stash of blades to see if I might even have some on hand which would be cool. I'm pretty impressed at the wide range of blades that work really well in the ikon 102.
