Sounds like the 084 might be worth having on hand. For cleaning up a few days whiskers or whatever. Looking forward to more feedback.

(Sorry, couldn't help the 084 thing, love them old Stihl saws.)

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

Initial reports look very encouraging of the 2 that I've read so far. Light blade feel yet feels more efficient than the .68 gap plate. Light blade feel but increased efficiency is always a plus in my book...

Looking forward to mine coming in sometime soon....

I received mine in the mail this morning and managed to get a quick shave in before heading to the office. The shave was outstanding.

It would be wrong of me to say that i was disappointed with the original .68 plate. The overall build quality and finish were really great for the money. I just don't prefer mild razors. I prefer super efficient razors with a touch of blade feel.

I figured that at some point in time, based on community feedback, Razorock would release a more aggressive base plate and I'm happy that I had held onto mine. The GC with the new .84 plate is really really good. I dropped in a Gillette Nacet and was rewarded with an easy, comfortable, BBS shave. It's super efficient with just the right amount of blade feel. I can easily see this razor being used as a daily-driver.

I like the overall weight of the razor and it feels great in my hands when shaving. It's difficult to compare the GC w/ .84 plate to any other razor but it shaves pretty damn close to my Charcoal Goods SB lvl 2. it was a pleasure to use!

Just received the new .84 base plate and haven’t shaved with it yet but I’m already wondering if we can get an even more aggressive open comb base plate. Please, Joe, something for everyone!

Also, since I’ve got all the Razorock handles, can you sell just the top cap for the GC so I don’t have to change plates?

What's that about snoozing and losing... Will have to wait for the next round of base plates. Sounds like a hit.
