Will continue to keep you and the missus in my thoughts. From what I hear, it is serious work to adjust to the new restrictions, but so worth it in the long run.

Thanks guys.
Yes Eric it’s a big change. Now the challenge is taking in enough fluids and proteins to let her body heal itself. On top of the fact that she is not as “tough” as many people. Have to keep her focused on the things she has to do. Instead of the pain and discomfort. She has the opposite mindset that I have.

Hope it is going well for you both. And I hear you on mindset. Some days are better than others, for both of us, and some days one of us is all "woe is me." I try to stay strong to be an anchor, but there are days I just need to be at work to let my hair down! Thankfully, not too many of those, but they happen. My wife deals with a lot of crap, as she say, she just needs a new body, like Steve Austin or his bionic girlfriend whose name escapes me. I think it's just natural to some days wanting to curl in a ball and tell the world to eff off.

The adjustment after this kind of surgery must be daunting, but baby steps right? And the gains! How many folks have told me about no longer needing diabetes, or cholesterol, or even blood pressure meds any more.

keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers, for real, and hope as the trauma from the surgery subsides, the new lease on life will take center stage.

Been a bit since I've checked in with you guys.
Lot's going on here at Casa Fluffy. We are now officially 1 week into my wife's recovery from weight loss surgery.
For the most part she has had a typical last seven days. All of the usual trials associated with having 6 holes put into your abdomen. And having it blown up with gas. To make room for people to poke around inside to cut your stomach up. I know what your thinking. "That sounds like fun".
Each day has seen gradual improvement in her pain and mobility. All well within norms. I thank all of you for your continued well wishes.
One of the folks on here as usual had a big impact on my positive outlook.
A few days ago. A small parcel arrived on my doorstep, from Kentucky.  It hasn't been until this morning, that I opened it.  It contained two straight razors. One new to me. And one that I had gifted Dave a few years ago. (when he was trying to decide if he wanted to keep straights in his den).  So the Red Imp is back "home".
It also had a couple paddle strops and a razor roll/pouch. Along with a tub of very nice smelling soap. The Red Imp and Soap will be on deck for tonight's shave. The other razor has some nice I believe to be Imitation Tortoise scales. Though they may need some tlc/repair. That will be a learning process.
That brings all of you nosey people up to speed with the goings on here in Harford County Maryland. Hope all is well in your part of the big blue marble hurtling through the Milk Way.
One bit of notable humor I will share with you guys. Last week Admiral James Tiberious Kirk went into the "final frontier".  I want you to bring up the video of him talking during his 10 minutes in space. Then in your head imagine the music that used to be in the background in cheesy '70's adult films. If you don't know what that sounds like. Then good for you. You have lead a way more pure life than I. For those that do. Tell me it's not funny. I double dog dare you. Wink
Have a good Monday guys.

Very good report, Ken! So glad for you both. I watched/heard 2 interviews with Bill, both with Anderson Cooper, one before the launch and the other after. I will search for what you mentioned and report back. Thanks for giving us homework on a Monday, boo hoo!!

It's great to hear such a positive report Ken, and I'm sorry you and the missus went through so much to get here. Please add me to your list of prayer partners and well-wishers.

Last couple of shaves.[Image: cmRmw6B.jpg][Image: AimcJIX.jpg]

The Case Red Imp Razor and Honey Bee Soaps Bamboo Teak. Are from the one and only Dave in KY.
The other products are in my usual rotation.
Good shaves made better by my buddy.

Today was a good but long day. The missus has been having what she thinks is more discomfort that she should be having. Today the Doctor had us go in so he could check things out.  Out of an abundance of caution he sent her for a CT scan to make sure there are no problems.  It came back negative. So all is going well.
Take it easy guys.
