Since I repaired my angel hair last week, I have had no issues it is a great brush....I think they just have some Quality Control issues to sort out.

where did you order it from? and which one?

I ordered directly from Plisson. I got the faux tortoise shell handled synthetic knot.

I finally got a notification, even though the return was received on Monday.  I asked for an exchange, yet it shows they are refunding me the purchase price, less shipping....  Meh. not what I wanted.  Looks like this is going to end not so well. Sad

On a plus note, Plisson shipped today from France.  Anyone ever ordered direct, how long did it take to arrive? Smile

Stirling also just came out with their own synthetic

personally I don't think that's acceptable. I'd complain that you want the shipping fees refunded as well. they're the ones who sent you a defective brush!

The $5 for the shipping is just a drop in the bucket. I wont sweat it, because the return policies are thus. I gave ample chance to make things right, so I'll just have to give a review of my experience on amazon. I am not knocking Fine, I absolutely love all their aftershaves, but this experience has been one bad experience out of 8, or so other, AS purchases from them and other vendors.

This is just to get this out there, just FYI for people to look into.

The odd thing is that the owner seems to know that there's problems with some of the knots not being set properly and still continues to let them get sent out without checking them.

I think this is dodgy too....Unfortunately in the cruel world of business it won't take long until he realizes he is part of the problem too.

Funny because all the dude had to do is look for a good one and replace the one that I had. In my correspondence, I gave no indication and had no intention that I would be vindictive or harsh in the review of the brush. I really like the look and feel of it and would have knocked a star off because of a little inconvenience, but over all it seemed it would be a great deal. All that was needed to make me happy is put in a little time and send one that was straight. I can't imagine that would take very long. Maybe he drop ships them from another source, so stock cannot be inspected, which is what I suspect. Maybe that is the reason they are now 'out of stock' all of a sudden.... Even if the knot was 'lop sided' as claimed to be the case, I would have been satisfied, as long as it was set straight.

Just the general impression of 'I don't give a rip and don't have time for you' was the most off putting for me.

Well, it's all over and done now, so I'll let this rest. I am glad many others have got a great brush at a great value. This is just my experience, maybe no one else will have the same.

I agree with you that the brush has a great look to it..a classic style, imho. I'll hold off on buying one for a little bit, to see if the QC is better.
