Fattip Picollo - the blade alignment issue

I have a Fattip Picollo that has some alignment problem. One side has a much bigger blade exposure than the other. So I have one side that is super aggressive and another side that does not shave well at all. And it's very difficult to center it. I have a feeling that my be the problem is in the cap itself. Anything can be done or I just need to leave it as it is.

I have the same problem with a Fatip Grande I got for Christmas, but I think the issue is actually with the baseplate. Visually, my blade looks perfectly centered and straight. I've tried wild siding it, and I've inspected it with different top caps. I even put a new baseplate on the Fatip to visually compare. To the naked eye, it looks like the teeth on the Fatip baseplate are just a little longer on one side. I'm working with the vendor now to try and get mine replaced.

I have a Fatip Grande but no issues with the alignment. If you are unable to align/seat the blade evenly as you tighten I would explore an exchange if you purchased new.

Thanks for answers guys. This forum is really great and very friendly. I just think it's impossible to exchange. I've got it from Connagight shaving more than 6 months ago. And I've heard Fattip does not react to QA complaints of customers.

I'd still reach out to see if anything can be done.

If fatip doesn't like complaints about QC, then they should do a better job before shipping them out of their doors...

i have 4 fatips. only one has near perfect alignment. 2 are pretty close and one is just terrible. just luck of the draw with those.

Any correlation with plating? The one I got was the gunmetal black. Just curious if I might have better luck with a different plating option when I send it back.

I have a Grande in nickel and a Testina in gold and both have good, even blade alignment.

hmm the gunmetal was the worst one i had. the nickel seems to usually be the better ones.

I got one from Italian barber, it's not delivered yet, if something would be wrong with it I'm almost positive that they would exchange it. I would buy from reputable people guys!
