I have this eversharp injector razor in a lot.

Is it one of the type e,f,g u guys are talking about? Is it a good injector to try? If yes, I would order blades since I have none.

That looks like a G8 because of the ribbed handle. I have one those as well and find it to be slightly more comfortable than my other Type Gs.

I think that as HoosierShave said, your injector is a G8 and probably a wonderful shaver.

Sourav, if you are interested, shoot me a PM and I would be more than happy to send you a pack of injector blades to try out your razor.  Just be warned, once you try it, you may be going down a whole new rabbit hole!  Injectors can be very addictive!  Wink

Amen to that!  (Nice to offer the blades though.)

It looks like a G8 and should be a good one to start with.

As of late I have had six perfect shaves using a Schick Model M adj. injector with the Schick Proline B-20 injector blade which I now proclaim as the best injector blade currently made. It is made in Japan and is unbelievably smooth & sharp. A perfect dichotomy in this blade.

It almost seems like cheating using this blade. Wink

FWIW, I just did a SxS comparison using a Schick I 2 injector loaded with the modern Proline blade and my Schick M Model adj. loaded with a NOS Gillette Platinum Plus injector blade which is my favorite NOS blade for these. Both blades had one shave beforehand respectively.

The Model M gave the better shave of the two, although I believe moreso due to the perfect dynamics (at least for my handsome face) of this razor. Note that the Proline blade shaves just as well WHEN loaded into the M Model. Very interesting. Needless to say the Model M is my "go to" injector as you can tailor agression perfectly for your face. Purportedly, the I Model uses the same head as the M, but they shave differently as least for me. YMMV.

Since I started this thread I have acquired a mint E 2 Model and after usage, blade gap measuring and "eyeballing" closely I am of the opinion that it is the same head as the G Model. I do read that the ultra rare E 1 Model however is more aggressive. Regardless, the ability to swing open the spring & lower plate is sweet, but doesn't add anything to the shave quality. It is simply easier to shave with an injector than a DE IMO. They are more intuitive and they scythe down whiskers (especially several days growth) with ease. Many must have thought the same in the past as they made them for over sixty years!!

You know every time I use any of my razors I get the same question... Why, oh why do I need all of these other razors!!!

and then I remember, cause I like to party...
