I ask myself why I own a DE razor. Big Grin I have a G Model, M Model, I 2 Model & a J Model that is out on loan. The old Schick injector razor is simply a better mousetrap and anyone who hasn't tried one is missing out IMO. They are dirt cheap to boot. Smile

I'm right there with you BP. I had an excellent BBS shave this morning with my basically mint condition Type E that I picked up from Obie here on the BST. I think it's my new favorite razor. I had a Type L before, but it wasn't nearly as good as this one. Thanks again Obie, I'm really enjoying this one!

You know every time I use any of my razors I get the same question... Why, oh why do I need all of these other razors!!!

and then I remember, cause I like to party...

THE reason I don't use an injector more is because I have yet to find a great blade. I think I've tried most of what's on the market including several NOS. I'd be pleased to hear recommendations

They all work for me, but the current Personna is not as smooth as the Chinese Schick for my face in most injector razors. The latter works like a dream in all my injectors. I have done SxS tests using it and NOS Schick Plus Platinum injector blades and can tell little if any difference for that matter. As with any shave, top notch prep & technique are mandatory. Wink

I asked my self the same question after my first injector-blade shave, which was with a Supply and the medium plate.  I was expecting a learning curve, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to get a skin-friendly BBS shave.  I've since added two Ms and a PAL adjustable.

Life is good.

It's purely subjective, but much as I love the shave I get from my Injecto-matic, I1/2, and even my E2, I just don't enjoy the experience as much as my DE razors, speaking generally. Can't fault the results, I think the feel of them is a bit too much like a cartridge razor. The Repeaters are a different animal, I'd probably use them more if blade loading was easier.

Ironically I use injector blades most often in my DeHaven and Mark Cross razors, neither of which was designed for them.

I'll buy that, but the blade rigidity coupled with the results is where the "bread is buttered" IMO. Injector razors simply scythe through a several day beard easier than a DE. Not that that matters if one shaves daily, but it is a verifiable fact.

They are as well an easier transition vehicle from disposables as opposed to DE razors IMO.

I hear that. Results for me are definitely not all that matter else I'd probably use a Head Blade, just not interested in going there to butter my bread..
