Just received the AYLSWORTH APEX-SS / Standard Plate yesterday - wow!

It's beautiful, smooth and bloody efficient ... I'm going to handle it a bit more lightly tomorrow - I was surprised by its low Blade Gap - 0.7 mm and slightly positive Blade Exposure - 0.05 mm.

ETHOS Lemoncello Soap - the scent could be stronger but still great!

Ok guys this has to be in the spring lineup.  So how this came about was I had to make 2 Blood Orange EDT’s and after I was done filling them there was about a half an oz left in the beaker so I asked my helper Annette if she thought the scent strength on the EDT was good as I had a little bout with allergies that is rare for me so she took a whiff and said it’s good but I honestly would not wear a straight Orange as a perfume. I’d shave with it I’d bathe with it but not wear it as a perfume. I said yeah it’s a personal thing. So the first thing that came to mind was Creamsicle so I obviously started with Vanilla as I’ve had some customers mix the Blood Orange Shave Crème with the Vanilla Safi and that’s what they call it. Well I don’t stop there and added two more aroma ingredients in it ( I’m keeping that info to myself for now ) well the end result was after completing the scent, it’s then I let Annette smell it again and she’s like OMG I want to eat it! I put my nose into it and splashed a little on and I’m telling you guys this is definitely a keeper for springtime. I love it when things happen like this and I thought you might get a kick out of the story behind it.

So Creamsicle it is for May.

Just wanted to bring you up to date on what’s going on at ETHOS.

I can tell you that following the Dragonsbeard and Russian Tea the first older soap I’m going to make is Lost Souls and I’ll be adding some new products in that scent. The first new release will be a cologne inspired scent that will be in the Niche Boutique Collection called “ Never Sleeps “ and it’s going to be an exclusive with Pasteur Pharmacy.

I’ll be back with more updates soon.

All the best

Although I have plenty of Dragonsbeard soap, V2 & V4, I'm kickn' myself for missing out on DB Revitalizing Serum.  I'm currently using/mixing Lemoncello, Tonka and Sándalo Artistico, but I'm getting tired of these three and looking for some new scents.

Well I’ll be making and releasing the DB Revitalizing Serum with the October 1st release. An in my humble opinion the one that goes with almost anything is the Vanilla Safi Serums as it can stand on its own or be layered with multiple others.

Many Fall Winter scents will have serums added to the line as well.

Thank you for the support!

With that said I’ve got plans for a bunch of new aromas I’ve been wanting to make and I’ve created a schedule that goes from now to late winter. Along with the new aromas I’ll be bringing back some scents I’ve done before like Lost Souls, King of the North and Mandarino Fumo. These will be made between some of the new aromas. Since I’m doing more and more infusions I’ll be releasing these when the infusions are complete as they all take different amounts of time to be completed.

I’m going to do a Christmas/Holiday limited release that’s something I and a couple of my customers want to do that I’ll announce a little later on this fall.

...

Look forward to all of the upcoming releases! I have been a bit distracted with other endeavors, so I may have missed an update in earlier posts. Do you still see Blue Note in the upcoming release plans? Regardless, I was planning to pick up Lost Souls (I have been waiting to get this for a long time), Mandarino Fumo (going deep on tobacco scents lately), Never Sleeps ( I was assuming this is the profile mentioned around oud and rose? But I''m sure it will be great regardless), and Blue Note. And who can resist a Christmas inspired scent ( could there ever be room for a Christmas inspired Bay Rum? Maybe that is too far afield for the Bay Rum category ).

Thanks Frank Dragonsbeard. TBH I feel the same way. I love the Tortola, and a short while ago it occurred to me to see how Tortola and that brush go together.
