Ok Guys I’m down to two so let’s take a vote

‘uhane

Serenity or Serenity Beach

I don’t if it’s me but both those names represent the Image really good to me.

There were images that I could have used for any type of of the beaches that Dan pointed out and I like the name San Tropez best of all but the name to me doesn’t fit this particular image I’m using or a luxury exclusive island like Seychelles ( Images below )

Both images below reflect them and remember we have a long way to go with the Island Collection so many more beaches to visit in the future.

So give me a pick between the two I mentioned and I’m not sure we need the name Beach along with the name but to me they fit but want to hear your thoughts.

I just used a sample of Colonia provided by the generosity of another wet shaver.  What can I say.  The base, as always is outstanding.  The scent is wonderful.  I know it is a dupe of some other fragrance that I have never heard or nor every tried.  But it was great.  Unfortunately it is out of stock.  I have more samples to go through.  The one item I have that I bought was the Tonka Bean soap and A/S.  OUTSTANDING.  Can't say enough good things other than I need a larger bottle of the a/s skin splash.  Frank do you hear me? Smile

Between those 2, I like Serenity but without the beach added. Truth be told, I like the Original regardless of what some may have thought when they read it.....

Serenity Now? Smile

I would prefer Serenity given the two, although also preferred some of the earlier ones, including the original. Serenity feels a bit subdued versus what the scent experience might be? But I am just a small voice in the universe of shavers, and I'm sure the release will be awesome. Smile

Tough decision... I agree, adding beach afterwards sounds awkward to my mind. Of course, When I hear Serenity alone, I think of Crackling Birch. But that's just from past soaps.

Am I correct that 'uhane is supposed to mean the soul or spirit of a person, often times a deceased person? If that's correct, I'd say go with Serenity. It definitely fits a relaxing beach vibe better.

(Edit: Just saw the post about explaining 'uhane. Sounds like it's actually a good name, and Google failed me again. Lol.)

St Tropez would not fit the island collection - it’s not an island and it wouldn’t make sense.

Ok I’ve gotten multiple texts and had a few conversations with some of my customers on the phone today and they all along with a bunch of you think I should keep the Original name that I got from Bouki and after all this I’m going to stay with the original.

I don’t want to go back on my word about a contest so let’s change the contest!

I’ll create a separate post for that and I’ll post it up tomorrow as I’m torn between two different options for this contest. Prize will still be the same A Lemoncello Shave Soap and Skin Food Spash and I’m adding a Serum to the set for the winner.

Thank you all for the participation and I hope you stay with this and enter the new one I’ll post up.

Sincerely

Frank

Hello Sir

So the Colonia was inspired by two of my favorite Colonia type colognes. Tom Ford Neroli Portafino and Acqua Di Parma Colonia the classic yellow. Both are made completely using synthetic aroma chemicals which most perfumes are but I wanted to try and use as many naturals as possible and create my own Colonia as it’s a very common scent in Italy and especially in Italian barbershops and there are actually a lot of Colonia aftershaves used there.

What you have with the sample is an older base but I will be making it very soon in the brand new F Base which is like the Tonka Bean you have and I’m happy to hear your enjoying it. I can make a larger bottle of any splash if a customer wants to place a custom order. All you have to do is email me with your requests.

Best regards and welcome to the family!

Frank

I now understand why folks speak so highly of the company—the soap, balm and serum that I used are outstanding! I can’t wait to try other scents, but Vetivert is excellent. It at least equals if not surpasses my favorite vetiver scent from MdC.

The problem with MdC, however, is that they do not have any aftershaves. The good news is that I can now stop searching for a “perfect” match.  Frank offers everything I need in also an amazing scent but with better overall skin care properties and every type of aftershave I might want to use.  I only hope Frank comes up with a scent similar to my favorite—MdC fougere.

Thank you sir !

I’m glad you’re enjoying the Vetivert. One of my current favorites. An yes I’m with you on the MDC Fougere as it’s my personal favorite Fougere also and for years I’ve been frustrated with the fact there’s no post shave products to go along with it so this fall I will be releasing a Fougere and I’m doing my best to make so it’s going to be a good companion to the MDC while still maintaining its ETHOS DNA.

Best regards

Frank

Who says it has to be in island collection?  Many of the most desirable beaches in the world are not on islands.

Not even sure of this collections concept. All the collections grouping have done for me is make it harder to find the soap wanted when using the site versus just opening products and scrolling down like other brands do

Have purchased haute couture clothing all my life. Really found it pretentious when the manufacturers lumped them into collections - really more of a chick gimmick unbefitting men.

Frankly, at this point don't care and just want the soap requested; truth told sending it sans label would be absolutely fine with me.
