Agree with Dan Law’s take of evoking a sunny beach and luxury.

“Lusso Paradiso” = Tropical Paradise
“Lusso” conveys a sense of high-end luxury and “Paradiso” creates a vivid image of a luxurious, tropical paradise

“Lusso Tropicale” = Tropical Luxury
Conveys a sense of high-end, luxury within a tropical, paradisiacal setting

Or just “Paradiso” / “Tropicale”

“”Island Reverie”
Evokes a serene, dreamlike quality

I have some skin issues that require me to use unscented soaps. I've looked at your website many times but I've never seen any unscented soaps. I don't know if you make any and I'm not seeing them or if they are a product with limited sales potential and you haven't seen the need.

I'd love to hear your take on the topic.

Hello Sir

I do make an Unscented Shave Soap and a few other unscented products in the Pure Collection as it was pointed out. The Shaving soap was called Clean but now it’s simply called Unscented. I had some in stock but you’re correct in saying that it probably not a big seller. It was a decent seller a couple of years ago but I’ve had lots of feedback from customers that said I started out with your Unscented but was curious about some of the scented ones and I didn’t have any reaction so they didn’t buy Unscented again. One of the reasons I don’t rush to make it these days. Also as Rocket mentioned my vendors buy it more than my direct customers do. I will make another batch soon as I’m out of stock currently. You can click on the out of stock Unscented Shave Soap on the website and when you do it will say get notified when back in stock and put your email address in and it will quickly notify you when I put some back up.

Best regards

My first shave with ETHOS….

I now understand why folks speak so highly of the company—the soap, balm and serum that I used are outstanding! I can’t wait to try other scents, but Vetivert is excellent. It at least equals if not surpasses my favorite vetiver scent from MdC.

The problem with MdC, however, is that they do not have any aftershaves. The good news is that I can now stop searching for a “perfect” match.  Frank offers everything I need in also an amazing scent but with better overall skin care properties and every type of aftershave I might want to use.  I only hope Frank comes up with a scent similar to my favorite—MdC fougere.

One last item, to reiterate that the proposed name is less than evocative to most people:

Ron Rice, the founder of 'Hawaiian Tropic is neither from Hawaii nor has any connection there.

Ron Rice was from Ashville in the Carolinas, he was a teacher in Florida when inventing the suntan lotion in a garbage can and lived there running the company until it sold to Playtex in the mid 2000s.

He originally named the tanning oil 'Tropical Tan' but as the product took off found a bigger company, now defunct had the name. So he went with Hawaiian - something universally known for beaches - and the original first half of the name 'Tropic'.  Again there isn't any Hawaiian connection in Hawaiian Tropic. It literally was made in a garbage can in Florida by a teacher originally from North Carolina

Here's Ron Rice obituary:

Will be happy when the labels are ordered.  Seems to have ran its course.

One last name:

'Sun and Sand'

Says it all even to Amazonians living in huts along the Amazon - that is universal
