I recently joined DFS for the purpose of learning more about ETHOS products.  This looks like the perfect opportunity for my first post!  Smile

I have two initial submissions (might submit a third later).  The first name has a long explanation—I apologize in advance.  The second name is much more straightforward.

1.  Iulani

The name Iulani finds its origins deeply rooted in the Hawaiian culture, deriving from the native Polynesian language. This cherished name holds significant meaning, as it symbolizes the concept of the Highest Point in Heaven. In Hawaiian mythology, it represents the abode of gods and goddesses, a celestial place reserved for divine beings. The name Iulani implies a strong connection to the spiritual realm, emphasizing the lofty status of this mythical heavenly realm in Hawaiian culture.  Throughout history, the name Iulani has been embraced by individuals seeking to honor their Hawaiian heritage and imbue their children with a sense of celestial majesty. In modern-day usage, this captivating name continues to hold a place of significance. Many parents in the Hawaiian community still select Iulani as a first name, representing a connection to their cultural heritage and a desire to instill a sense of reverence for the divine. Moreover, the name Iulani's popularity has transcended its Hawaiian origins, attracting attention from individuals worldwide drawn to its exotic allure and spiritual connotations.  Iulani reflects an ancient Hawaiian belief in the existence of a celestial realm and captures the aspirational longing for a connection to the divine. Its continued usage both in history and present-day attests to its enduring significance in Hawaiian culture and its universal appeal among individuals seeking a name that encompasses spiritual force and celestial grandeur.  https://www.ancestry.com/first-name-meaning/iulani

2.  Palekaiko — meaning paradise.

It is nice to meet everyone and thanks for sharing all the helpful information with a new wet shaver.

Aloha

From Wikipedia below

Aloha (/əˈloʊhɑː/ ə-LOH-hah, Hawaiian: [əˈlohə]) is the Hawaiian word for love, affection, peace, compassion and mercy, that is commonly used as a greeting.[1][2] It has a deeper cultural and spiritual significance to native Hawaiians, for whom the term is used to define a force that holds together existence.[3]

Ok so we may have an issue with the name.. a good customer of mine just mentioned to me in a text that he thinks the name sounds to much like the Liqueur " Kahlua"  and I got to be honest it does kind of worry me that people might get it mixed up thinking it should have caramel or coffee in it and it's very far away from that.. it's a very tropical aroma. So here's the thing. My graphic designer had a terrible fall and broke her wrist and did a lot of other damage to herself so she has to go into surgery on Friday so if I"m going to change the name it's got to be a quickie and there's no better way than to get many heads into this so let's have a quick contest.. Starts as soon as you see this post you got 3 picks and we got 18 hrs to get to pick a winning name for this collection of products. Sorry Bouki but I think my customer brought up a good point and I don't want to create any confusion on the aroma of this release. The winner will get a 4.5 oz Shave Soap and Skin Food Splash. Remember this is about a tropical scent, Hawaii was my first inspiration as the mix has some Pineapple and Coconut in it along with other mixed aromatics. I'll list up the scent notes once we pick a name.

Contest starts now..

‘Uhane

”One of my favorite words in the English language is ‘soul’. Your soul is your core….your character, your faith, your beliefs, your meaning. It is so deep inside you that for many, it is so rarely shown to others. I think the reason I love Hawaii so much is that it is all about ‘ ‘uhane’ (pronounced: oo-hah-neh) or soul.

For Hawaiians, ‘uhane is the spirit of a person….that core that I mentioned above”

I actually think “Kailua” is fine and doesn’t need to be changed. Plus the image looks nothing like anything Kahlua-related.

Keeping with the Hawaiian theme...

Ho'okipa - to entertain, make a visit hospitable or welcome, to treat hospitably (also a beach on Maui known for some amazing windsurfing and surfing)

Shaka - hand gesture as a sign of approval, hello/goodbye and thank you; also means “awesome, cool, amazing.” - “That soap is shaka.”
