I have a maybe difficult question: How would you describe the scent and/or experience of pure Tonka bean?

I see it listed in combination with many soap scents (and I have some of those), but I am still uncertain what it is supposed to read as, in isolation.

Smooth Sweet and slightly spicey, kind of a mix between almond and vanilla with a hint of coumarin.  To my nose atleast.

Sweet and Nutty to me, LOVE it !

DanLaw  but you know that’s made from a synthetic aroma chemical as almost all perfumes are and they are stronger in most cases than natural aromatics ingredients. That was a women’s perfume but it was also looked at as unisex. There are dupes of it.

Yes all of the above notes mentioned and I’ll add and say some of the different Tonka Bean absolutes I’ve smelled also can have a little Balsamic note to them and there’s definitely a slight Vanilla vibe in there to and to my nose it’s the sweet note in natural Tonka Bean along with the Carmel note. With my handmade infusion comes a pretty strong natural Coumarin note which is one of the reasons that this batch is noticeably stronger than the last batch.

BTW I’ll be sending the links today . Any that are left over will go up on the site along with the 4.5 oz sizes

One of my favourites This set can be used all year round because the scent from this suits every season.
I am looking forward to having it in F base.

I will always buy this set whenever I run out of it because every time I use it, the scent reminds me of a good beautiful memory with my wife. I smelled this kind of scent during a trip with her.

UPDATE: 

The Tonka Bean products which include the 4.5 oz F Base Shave soap, Skin Food Splash, Non - Alcohol Skin Food Lotion, Revitalizing Serum and EDP will be released on the ETHOS website on Tuesday April 2nd at 9 am. 

Some vendors will have theirs at that time and some may follow as this is a restock and not a brand new release.
